Many have tried to make this happen, but we had to dust off the guitars for this one. And no measly eye surgeries or sore throats were gonna stop us! Mucho Congrats @dezzo_cher and @thisisarphatsara on your new life together! This song is about finding a love that vibes in your own unique way, and you guys definitely got that going! Here’s to making love in new wave, or any other way you (or your bodies) allow. Much love! That was a super fun jam sesh!

Last year, out of the blue, I received a WhatsApp asking if I’d like to cast as the lead for a short film. Never acted in a film before… so I was shocked to be asked, and apprehensive. But as a director, and kay poh adventurer, was still curious. (I also had every intention to chalk up as much adventure as I could for my impending jubilee 🎂!)
I had no idea what to expect, except that it would take a special film and director, to get me to take the plunge.
As fate would have it, my connection with @_spacebarman felt immediately serendipitous… and the ensuing adventure no less precious! (except the treacherous car ride to Pahang… The music and the company was great though.)
Plus, the honour of popping my on-screen cherry alongside @gurmit.65 , @annettelee and @fauziazzhar, AND having this all lensed by the amazing @jonkeng was the icing on the cake.
I’m so stoked that CAPTIVE AUDIENCE will have its world premiere at this year’s @sgiffest! And it’s wild that I get to feature again at the festival, this year as an “actor” 🤯
Massive congrats to @_spacebarman @angelinamarilynb @bencantfly @_screentone and the whole team and crew. Thanks for having faith in me. It was a bloody hoot. @gurmit.65 , @annettelee and @fauziazzhar for caring and sharing through this process, on set and off.. The honour is mine and It was a pleasure working with all of you!
Can't wait for people to see it!
Please come and support this special film
Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday, 31 Oct

(I’m also chuffed to have a bit voice role in the festival’s Singapore Panorama opening film The Old Man And His Car by @michael_kam so come check it out too!)

This Race Week Launch Party — we’ve got Bushwacka! ( @bushwacka ) — percussionist turned acid house rebel, rave outlaw turned Ibiza mainstay, DJ/producer/psychotherapist (yes, seriously).
If you’ve danced to house, breaks, or techno in the last 30 years, chances are you’ve felt his influence — whether it was via his iconic Love Story with @layoandbushwacka , a cheeky bootleg (Billie Jean, anyone?), or a remix for Madonna.
His CV is basically a flex reel: residencies at Space Ibiza and The End, running legendary warehouse parties with Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin, releases on Defected, Crosstown Rebels, Rekids, DFTD, Nu-Groove… and oh yeah, a monthly residency at Pikes Ibiza still going strong after a decade.
Now in 2025, Bushwacka! is still flipping dancefloors upside down worldwide — from London to Brazil to Asia — with fresh releases, a new album incoming, and crates of vinyl rarities re-emerging for the heads.
The moral of the story? Bushwacka! doesn’t slow down. He levels up.

Italy photo dump. Haven’t been to Europe extensively, but so far Italy is my fave. Such and intriguing culture, so ancient, yet still beaming with such a lust for la Dolce Vita! The best people! And oozing with passion for EVERYTHING. Even just talking. So infectious and inspiring.
And What a beautiful country to boot.
1-3. There isn’t an inch of Naples that is not covered with graffiti, but it makes for such a vibrant walk, with curiosities lurking round every corner. (Including smells)
4-5. Rustic bar just below our villa by the water. Perfect for limoncello Spritz and old Europeans vying for the world record for tiniest speedos. So pretty nonetheless. (The view as well.)
6. Would have totally adopted this cat who followed us all the way from town back to our villa on this moon drenched night. So Dolce… That would totally be her name.
7. There was this cloud…
8. Freshness of produce is directly correlated to O-face.
9. Never have I experienced so much party come from one man. This busker will SLAY any event or party. Plus he set up in front of a convenience store which has a bar. Definitely one of the highlights of the trip.
10-12. Whether by boat or by… hike, Amalfi is amazing. (But boat wins)
13. Just another day walking in 3000 year old ruins that were swallowed by volcanic ash.
14. So yeah. Boat wins.

Ten years ago, I made a film about a Singapore Cultural Phenomenon – Mambo Jambo.
I had never attempted a film before, and had no idea what I was doing… only that I needed to tell this story before the curtains came down on this iconic night at Jiak Kim. It was an incredibly intense and isolating experience. A solo effort filled with self-doubt. And so, when @theprojectorsg offered to host it’s premiere, it was like a hand, reaching out to pull me from the shadows, of someone who felt like, was actually by my side the entire time.
It gave me comfort and affirmation I was sorely needing at that point, struggling to find a venue to screen it after 7 years in the making.
(AND they had Kachang Puteh.)
To me, it was pretty poetic because the projector was everything Mambo was – uniquely Singaporean, irreverent, eclectic, retro (yet not retro), profound, and above all, a sanctuary, realised by a palpable collective spirit. A space where everyone could come, check their “baggage” at the door, and be united with their tribe (for the love of film, music or whatever shenanigans)
Thank you, for holding space for us. There are many, but we are all one. Yours remains the only big screen on which the film has played, but that night will play on forever.
It is truly a sad day when we lose spaces that nurture culture and kinship like this, especially in Singapore. You will be sorely missed.

Was holding off posting these POV videos till after NDP cos' I didn't want to give too much away before the show... but also because I knew they would help me mitigate the withdrawls once the moments fade away... which is righhht abouuuut NOW. So, as promised, here is our ACT 1 performance of What Do You See. This one was VERY special, not just cos' we had the immense honour of being invited back to punctuate this act, or sharing the stage with LEGENDS, past, present and future, but that all our kids were there to see their daddies perform this song for the first time - At SG60 NDP no less🥹. Enjoy!
