‘Stay, Shift or Leap’

What does it mean to remain, to adapt, or to break away when everything around you is already shifting?

A city in never ending transition. This piece traces a moment of in-between, caught in reflection somewhere in Lichtenberg, Berlin on the Fahrbereitschaft compound, where i was workingduring the summer of 2020.

A heartfelt Thank you to everyone who came out to see my show @whitehousegallery_brussels !! In a world that feels like it’s spinning out of control, having this community to share art and stories was a powerful reminder that art is not just decoration; it is a sanctuary and it offers a better way to see the world.. It was a pleasure to exchange meaning, talk and listen!

With great excitement, I’d love to invite you to my second exhibition at The Whitehouse Gallery.

‘Try Again’

Over the past year, my work was once again inspired by life itself. Between renovations and walks, the gym and teaching, a trip to Rome, Lisbon and London, saying goodbye to my cat and a dear friend, the birth of an adorable set of twins, inspiring conversations, music and writing. And all the moments woven through it.

Somewhere between doubt and discovery, searching and deciding, this new body of work slowly took shape.

Whilst in Belgium I was lucky enough to visit the studio of @hildeoverbergh in Leuven.

The studio is stupendous. A testament to a significant career, an incredible aesthetic and the availability of advanced welding skills!

The artwork is even better.

I really enjoyed our conversation about the political nature of Hilde’s work. How it documents a fascinating, prolific and problematic period of human material history spanning the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

How Hilde’s interventions illustrate the latent politics in the potential for change, agency and transformation.

The powerful statement of sustainability contained in working with found objects.

Thank you Hilde and looking forward to continuing the conversation (in Walthamstow!)
