With a packed touring schedule and releases on respected imprints such as Somewhere Soul and Nervous Records, San Sebastián-based producer @divorce.from.new.yorkhas rapidly established himself as a key flagbearer of soulful underground sounds. Returning now to London-based imprint  High Praise,  he announces his forthcoming EP ‘Jazzthetics’ with a single of the same name, which sees him join forces with Parisian producer (and @firstwordrecords signee)  @quietdawn ,  and Scouse spiritual transistor and @eglorecords alumni  @stickydub on vocals.

Mystical synths kick off proceedings as Sticky takes to the mic, breaking down his mantra and homeopathic remedies to start the day off right. Steadily building momentum, the track moves to a syncopated and brukwise drop - full of vibrant life energy and irresistible rhythm.

The track is available everywhere now, and the vinyl is available to preorder via @bandcamp .

We’re very pleased to unveil our latest offering, which sees South London sonic wizard @dampegram returning to the HP ranks, joining forces with Ontatrio-based rapper, producer, writer and poet @cadenceweapon on their collaborative single ‘Hard To Say’.

A potent transatlantic collaboration, ‘Hard To Say’, wastes no time, launching headfirst into a storming club ready banger - with choppy breaks, perforating a thick haze, as low-end frequencies hanging in the air and eerie pitched-up vocals cry out in the background. Dampé’s production is razor sharp and perfectly sculpted, constantly shifting form whilst maintaining its edges. Cadence Weapon is on electric form, delivering furious lyrics about the unpredictability of life, and where new choices might lead, whilst paying homage to UK underground cult classics along the way.

On the track, Cadence says: ‘ When I heard his beat demo, it brought me back to the UK pirate radio grime rips I used to listen to when I was younger all the way in Canada. I’ve been passionate about music from across the UK’s hardcore continuum for as long as I can remember so this song is a love letter to that music. Dampé smashed the brief and understood the vision right off the bat. Lock down your aerial!”.

After dropping his much-celebrated ‘Sausalito’ LP back in September ‘22, Spanish DJ/ Producer @divorce.from.new.york has gone on to appear at Kala Festival, perform around the world, and release new music on labels such as Nervous Recordings and Tokonoma Records. It’s high time now that two of the album’s choice cuts get a new lease of life courtesy of two HP family members. Having turned in a killer remix for his label-mate @dampegram back earlier this year (which earned the support of @jamzsupernova and many more), Dampé now returns the favour with a twisted, evolving and low-end heavy re-imagining of standout single ‘Holly Grove’, featuring the hypnotic vocals of @sara.zozaya . Meanwhile, on the flip - @hugo_mari_ gives the entrancing groove of dancefloor friendly ‘Resoli’ a classic Chicago-House infused shakedown.
