No way I’m really starting to love this 😂 Progress been incredible and the switch to compete again definitely got flipped. Anything fitness is a mental game but running really at the top of the list. It’s only you. No teammates, no huddle ups. If you in a race no matter the distance it gotta be max effort, push dat limit 💯

Feel like I’m doing a great job balancing these two together, all of these help the most:
1. KEEP LIFTING
Never stopped lifting, just tweaked my routine. Before I started running I would break upper body days into groups now I just hit it all at the same time 2-3x a week, a couple leg lifts every week too. Running got me the most cut I’ve ever been and I’ve been able to maintain my strength 🔑
2. RECOVERY
Got back into yoga (your body and mind will thank you) more sauna sessions, massage gun, heat pad, rolling out my feet, za, allat. Running miles consistently and lifting puts a lot of stress on your body so managing soreness and recovery gotta be a priority.. this is a LONG GAME 💯
3. SUPPLEMENTS
Creatine, protein, electrolytes, and magnesium all mandatory. Creatine and protein definitely been helping me keep my size/weight the same. Running more = more calories burned so I’ve been eating a lil more too 💪🏾
Still learning as I go in a lot of ways. Treating my body like an experiment 🧬
