Celebrating 30 years of the James C. Hormel LGBTQIA Center — a space where stories are preserved, art is honored, and community is made visible.

For three decades, this center has held the voices, histories, and creativity of LGBTQIA+ people with care and intention. It reminds us that art is not just expression — it’s memory, resistance, and a bridge between generations.

In a world that can feel fragmented, spaces like this gather us back together. They give us language for who we are, and vision for who we’re still becoming.

Grateful for the artists, archivists, librarians, and community members who have made this place a living testament to dignity and belonging.

Here’s to the next chapter of storytelling, connection, and creativity. 📚✨

"Finally. Care for the whole you."

I saw this today and it hit home. In my work, I see how often people are treated like a list of problems to solve rather than a whole person to care for.

Real health is about more than just a doctor’s visit. It’s the intersection of our physical, emotional, and spiritual lives. That’s why I love the way Community Health Work, Peer Support, and Chaplaincy overlap:

• CHW: Handling the logistics—like housing and navigating complex systems—so the foundation is solid.

• Peer Support: Offering the "I’ve been there" connection that builds real trust and keeps us from feeling alone.

• Chaplaincy: Holding space for the spirit and the heart, especially during times of grief or transition.

When we combine these, we stop just "managing cases" and start supporting human beings. Whether it’s helping someone with executive functioning or sitting with them in a moment of crisis, it’s all connected.

We deserve systems that see all of us. 🏳️‍⚧️✨
