HELLO! I’m Chanté Timothy. To all my recent followers and long-time supporters nice to meet you!

I’m a children’s book Author/Illustrator and I facillitate workshops :)

🏠 Born and raised in London, I'm Carribean British 🇯🇲🇩🇲 . I’m neuro-*Spicy* with Dyslexia and I suspect ADHD (test pending)

🎓 Studied at Coventry University - Illustration and Graphics, after I joined a 2 year course called "Pathways into Children’s book Publishing". I currently work part-time day job (money haffi mek) and part-time as an illustrator.

📚I have illustrated 11 books in 4 years, won one award (British Book Award) with Hey You! by Dapo Adeola and 16 other illustrators. Now I have my debut comic book series as an author/ illustrator, “SUPA NOVA” will be out June 2025 and second released in 2026.

🎨I love to illustrate expressive characters in different scenarios and I've worked with some amazing clients including Simon & Schuster, Nosy Crow, Puffin, National Trust, Southbank Centre to name a few.

✨ I recently found a love for teaching and creating workshops for children and adults, I was recently in the Southbank Centre’s Imagine a Story competition co-hosting 12 performances with the wonderful author Lisette Auton. I hope to teach more in the future online somewhere but for now I’ll be creating helpful tips on my Substack newsletter.

One of my favourite things about being an author is meeting other authors, and especially those of the books I enjoy most. 📚

This past weekend I got to meet @hey.chante and join in with drawing some of the characters from her amazing comic book Supa Nova.

We got to make our illustrations more personalised so I drew Chomp as a wizard, with a wand! 💫✨

The best part though was meeting @hey.chante , having my Supa Nova book signed and also showing my books too.

Meet Nova! She’s a scientist. Some people say she’s a genius. Some people even call her Supa Nova - get it? Like a supernova. Basically she’s a huge star, exploding right at you with her adventures!

When Nova invents a plastic-eating monster, she thinks she’s solved the world’s pollution problem. But she doesn’t expect her monster to start rampaging through the city! Can Nova find a way to save the day?

Chanté Timothy is an award-winning British author and illustrator who has worked on 11 books, including the acclaimed comic series Supa Nova.
