Thank you @dunkfestival . Luc, , Amaury, Joris, Sean, everyone else involved, the amazing crew…it really is a big family there. And we’re happy to be a small part of it. We’re the dysfunctional uncle that turns up unannounced at family gatherings from time to time, crashes through the window and scares the kids, falls over in the living room and knocks the pictures off the wall, drinks the wine that you’re saving for a special occasion, says they’ll be back tomorrow to help tidy up, only to disappear and reappear 5 years later.

We love Dunk, and we love the crowd, the ambience the location. All of it. We love seeing old friends and new. Hanging out and chatting. Being told why vocals don’t belong in post-rock and nodding along in agreement.

We are an old, old band. And we don’t take ourselves seriously. Family, mental health, work - all of that comes first. We learned that the hard way. That we were still invited to Dunk this year shows us how lucky we are. That we played to such a lovely and big audience prove to us what a privilege we have. We don’t underestimate that, and very much appreciate that.

We don’t know what is next. We have loved being together again and playing music, hanging out. Our happiest place is just us four in a room together making music. So thank you Dunk for getting us back together in that shitty room in Leicester again and having something to work towards. Blowing an amp mid-set was obviously not ideal, but is totally on trend for HNIC.

This is more or less the only social media we use, since it is all god awful. So if and when we do decide to either start making a new record, do an Antarctic tour, or tour with Aaron Lewis, this is where we will announce it. The future is bright. Look after each other. We’ll see you again x

Saving (some of) the best for last with 3 fantastic additions who officially complete our 2026 lineup!!! 💥💥💥

We're excited to host the mighty @toundra one of Spain's most beloved and Europe's finest post- acts. Their nature-inspired tunes are the perfect fit for our forest and will quite possibly turn it into enchanted woods ✨

Another welcome return, @hernameiscalla are a household name by now, and their 2019 performance is forever in our memory and on our turntables, one of the finest shows we ever witnessed. Massively pastorally apocalyptic music, in other words don't miss it!

@warringtonruncorn might be unknown to some of you but we can 100% guarantee they'll be a new favorite! We personally saw him perform Gordon at Roadburn last year and can vouch for him, his industrial synths and positivist soundscapes are a total banger! And a chance to dance with the iconic backdrop of our forest.

2026 edition is now complete! How are you most excited to see? All of the bands? That's fine, see you in just a few months!!

Moss Giant - Her Name is Calla

Here is some pointless trivia you didn't ask for! You are welcome thanks.

I wrote Moss Giant on my Dads OG Guitar when I was 19, and was going through a fantastically terrible time. I had kind of forgotten about it until one of my little brothers (@soloistoliver ) said it would be a nice opener to something. So I pitched it and it became the first Calla song I wrote that made it onto something. It's also the first song I ever sang on. I've always felt weird about my voice, and still do. But so does everyone. Who cares. @worriedaboutsatan even used the vox in a track though so now I'm everywhere and can never be stopped.
