I am first and foremost a busy mom… Somewhere between school pickups, laundry, dinner, and finally getting everyone to bed… this has become my little reset moment. 🤍

My hands get so dry from constantly washing, cleaning, and being on the go — but this lotion feels like a pause button. Lightweight, non-greasy, and somehow leaves my skin feeling ridiculously soft within seconds. The scent is one another leaves of soft luxury - a gentle lavender and vanilla breeze with every squeeze.

Spring is officially springing over here. The sunflowers are planted, the fields are waking up, and apparently 6,000 lavender plants just weren’t dramatic enough for us. So naturally… we’re adding 2,000 more.

That means Hereward Farms is about to become home to 8,000 lavender plants because the demand for our mostly French lavender bunches and farm-grown products keeps growing. Which is honestly wild considering this all started with “let’s see if lavender grows.”

Mr. Lavender is preparing himself mentally, physically, and probably emotionally for planting season. Meanwhile, I’ll be supervising with coffee and strong opinions.

Mr. Lavender is out there planting 400,000 sunflowers in a self-driving tractor and somehow still claims his job is hard. Meanwhile, social media makes it look like you toss a few seeds in the dirt, snap your fingers, and suddenly you’re standing in a sunflower fairytale by supper time.

Reality check: the sunflowers take about 2 to 3 weeks before they even start popping up. Nature likes a slow burn apparently. But give them a little time, some sunshine, and a whole lot of patience, and by mid July we’ll have a sea of yellow out here at Hereward Farms.

So no, this didn’t happen overnight. That’s just the magic of editing… and Mr. Lavender dramatically driving his space tractor through the fields like he’s farming on Mars.

What goes better together than coffee and lavender? Honestly, not much. One wakes you up. One calms you down. Together, they basically balance your entire personality.

They smell incredible. They taste incredible. They look pretty enough to romanticize your whole day. And somehow they make you feel both productive and relaxed at the same time, which feels medically impossible but here we are.

That’s pretty much the vibe at the Lavender Lounge + Café atHereward Farms. Good coffee. Lavender everything. Little treats. Beautiful shopping. A tiny escape from reality wrapped in caffeine and calm.

And if that doesn’t fix your mood, you probably just need another coffee.

Honestly, I am spoiled, strolling through the lavender fields watching the sunrise and suddenly I am acting like I have my life in order, my inbox under control, and like I’m fully qualified to romanticize absolutely everything.

The Chief Nap Officer has officially emerged from his winter hibernation and is now accepting visitors, compliments, and possibly snacks.

After months of intense rest, strategic lounging, and pretending not to hear us calling his name, Gordie has decided it’s finally time to supervise the farm again… from the warmest and sunniest spot possible, of course.
