Also some love: through all, there’s been some lovely moments lately. Mahal @sacred.spirit.ink and @tlkastro boo visited me at Volume One and we’re officially reading Bad in the Blood to each other & @bill.slithers | I received an appreciation from Tala & I’m the most honoured being alive | touring Bladed Edge Between @nextpagepress (transformative work!) along with Tabako with dear amazings @rubysingh_ & @piusings has been so nourishing & we hit up Nanaimo & Cortes next weekend. Come thru. Love to folks for welcoming. My heart is always with those being hurt by iterations of empire.

When the story breaks,
what do you write next?

Every writer reaches that point.

Not because the story was wrong —
but because it has gone as far as it can.

And something else begins to press in.

Less certain.
Less formed.
But more alive.

The work is not to rush past that moment.

The work is to stay with it
long enough
to hear what comes next.

the seeker

to slow the feet,

to learn the patience
of turning,

to remember

that the way
is never straight.

This fall @harialluri and I will gather again in Crete, where this myth first entered the human imagination, for a 5 day retreat exploring story, myth, and transformation through writing.
