To the general public (and even to many graffiti writers), tags can look like illegible scribble. If you take the time to study the letterforms overtime you'll begin to see the differences in styles, execution, and originality between different tags. This actually takes quite some time to build that skill, so I don't blame outsiders for not bothering to understand, or care for, the nuances in this wild artform.

Anyway, here's a tag I snapped in Melbourne a while back by Clientel. The playfulness is backed up by its execution: something that can be tricky to balance for many.

Yo yo Handstylers, it's time to flex those hands! Melbourne's Bailer (@_bailer) has recently dropped a book diving into the history of Melbourne's rich graffiti scene, with interviews, photos and stories from writers from the past 25+ years. We've got some goodies to give away, as well as getting the winner's handstyle printed onto a limited run of tees.

How to enter the Handstyler x Wall Stories competition:
1. Post a picture of your best "Wall Stories" tag
2. In the caption: tag #WallStoriesComp & be following @_bailer & @handstyler
3. Tag three friends with dope hand styles
We will be sharing our favourites to ig Stories so make sure to also post in your stories and tag us.
The winning tag will be printed on a limited run of Wall Stories Tshirts.

The Winner receives:
- 5 Tshirts of their design
- 1 Handstyler pack of stickers and markers
- 1 Signed copy of Wall Stories
- 1 Wall Stories Merch Kit with hat, t-shirt, tote bag
- 1 Wall Stories laminated poster

There will also be prizes for 2nd and 3rd place
