This beer is a Hanabi Lager interpretation of one of the most famous, yet rarely grown, brewing barley varieties in the world. Traditionally brewed as an ale, we approached it through our lager-brewing lens. The results are recognizable to those who know Maris Otter, while expressing a new stylistic approach to this classic grain.
Maris Otter Pilsner shows a rich golden color and a dense creamy foam. Aromas of spicy peppermint, lemon preserves, and sweet alfalfa are anchored by a solid mid-palate and a long flinty mineral finish.
Available now, shipping begins Monday, 12/15.

This beer is brewed with Hourani, an ancient wheat buried for safekeeping nearly 2,000 years ago at Masada and recently revived in Northern California by our friends at Honore Farm & Mill, Full Belly Farm, and Admiral Maltings. 🌾
