On the 4th June we mark a huge milestone for one of the longest running weekly sessions in Hackney Wick. Led by @kai_creative, @stratostheband’ Jazz Jam has been part of the rhythm of Grow for a decade, bringing musicians and listeners together week after week in our canalside venue.

What started in 2016 has slowly grown into a real community. A regular meeting point built through dedication, openness and a shared love of jazz in all its forms.

To celebrate, we’re inviting everyone back into the room. The night begins with a special outdoor live set from Stratos on the floating pontoon, featuring original material from the band. Then we open things up for the jam, welcoming back past members, regular players, familiar faces and anyone who’s been part of the journey along the way.

If you’ve ever played, listened, sat by the canal or found yourself caught in the magic of a Thursday night session at Grow, this one’s for you. Save the date, grab a ticket, book a table and come raise a glass with us to 10 years of community, dedication and outstanding music.

For our next DeepDig, we welcome @auntie_flo for a rare four hour extended set, with @katehutchinsonpow the dancefloor from the start.

DeepDig is about time and trust. Letting a selector stretch out. Letting the dancefloor unfold slowly. Two extended journeys. Seven hours of sound. A space to listen deeply and move freely.

Described by The Guardian as “taking world music into the future”, Auntie Flo has spent the past decade building a reputation as one of the most adventurous DJs around. His sets draw on rhythms and sounds from across the globe, shaped by years behind the decks everywhere from Panorama Bar and Fabric to Glastonbury and beyond.

A four hour set with Auntie Flo is about immersion. Patient, expansive DJing that moves between percussive house, global dance music and deeper club sounds, letting the room slowly lock into its rhythm.

Opening the night is Kate Hutchinson, journalist, broadcaster and DJ. Formerly of Worldwide FM and now hosting a fortnightly Soho Radio show, she brings a deep digging approach to the warm up, moving through percussive and rhythm led dance music from across the globe with patience and care.

Tickets are available on RA. A very limited number are £5/£7, free before 9pm and £10 after. Come early and settle in.

Time to introduce the next DJ for our London Party on May 29th: Kilengi creator @marla_kether

Born in London to Congolese parents, Marla Kether is a bassist, producer and DJ. Since taking up DJing during lockdown in 2020, she has rapidly honed her craft. She’s been busy taking her high-energy sets around the world, securing bookings at Glastonbury, Shambala Festival, Little Simz’s Tate Modern Lates, and supporting Loyle Carner on his US tour alongside playing in the band.

2025 saw Marla DJ at major festivals including Outlook, We Out Here and Down The Rabbit Hole, to name a few. She has also contributed standout mixes for BBC Radio 6 Music, Crack Magazine, NTS and Selector Radio. Her selections reflect the breadth of her musical world, often blending the Global Club sounds of Kuduro, Baile Funk, Bubbling, and Afro House with homegrown genres like Grime and UK Funky.

This weekend we are beyond pumped to welcome @auntie._.flo for DeepDig into our canalside warehouse. It's going to be a 30-degree day, so get down early to get your spot and enjoy @katehutchinsonpow warming up the night.

Auntie Flo has spent the last decade building one of the most adventurous musical worlds around, moving between highlife, deep house, percussive electronics and global rhythms with real depth and feeling.

This one is all about space and immersion. No quick-hit club set, just four hours digging through an extensive and wildly diverse record collection that's been built over years of digging, tracing connections between continents, communities and dancefloors with the kind of patience that makes DeepDig what it is.

Opening the night is Kate Hutchinson, broadcaster, journalist and longtime selector, setting the tone with a deep, percussive journey of her own before Auntie Flo takes things into the early hours. A very special one and to not miss.

Free before 9PM, with limited £5 and £7 advance tickets available on RA. The majority of tickets will be available on the door for £10 after.

Canalside Sessions happens every Sunday, bringing people together through sound on our floating pontoon by the River Lea in Hackney Wick.

Rooted in the spirit of jazz and its deep connection to Latin, Afro and global rhythms, the series explores music without borders, celebrating traditions, improvisation and shared energy from around the world.

Hosted by Williams Cumberbache, resident conga player and curator of the series, Canalside Sessions welcomes some of London’s finest musicians alongside unsung heroes and passing players from across the globe. Expect world-class music in an intimate canalside setting on our terrace.

Whether you’re settling in with a bunch, a spritz, a hot drink or something from our low and no selection, we’ve got you covered. Kids and dogs are always welcome, and best of all, it’s completely free. Book via Opentable or just come on through, walk-ins always welcome.

Join us this Sunday 24/05 as William Cumberbache hosts the Jack Williams Quartet for another deep afternoon of rhythm, soul and sound by the water.

In our lead up to the 10 years of Stratos celebration at Grow, we sat down with each member of the band to reflect on the music, the journey and the community built along the way.

Next up is Mike De Souza. A composer, educator and improviser, Mike joined Stratos in 2023 and has become an important part of the band’s evolving sound. Known for his lyrical playing and genre-crossing approach, he’s performed internationally and worked with artists including Byron Wallen, Alex Paxton, Joy Ellis and Belle Chen.

Alongside his work as a sideman, Mike has released music as a bandleader including Chrysalis and Pond Life, projects that reflect his rich, textural approach to composition and improvisation.

Book your ticket via DICE or reserve a table through OpenTable. All info is available on our website. Free for jammers, £5 on the door.

Continuing our crew and stage splits – this time, two stages at Grow.

Inside, it's digger instinct and diasporic soundsystem pressure all day.

Pulling Threads set the tone – mi-el's ever-evolving party series, known for slow, sexy and seriously considered selections, consistently platforming some of London's most vital underground voices. On the bill: mi-el, DJ Python, Bushbby

Come evening, @cotchinternational step in – a South London label and event series with over a decade of London nightlife behind them, championing globally-minded music with a raw edge, spanning all BPMs through a distinctly pirate radio lens. On the bill: Joe Cotch, Afoma V, NVST, DJ Bassan

Out on the Terrace, One Glove hold the afternoon – Macca's platform for the lesser-known, the left-leaning and the weirdos, guided by a Balearic-but-not-too-Balearic policy that keeps things wonderfully hard to pin down. On the bill: Ri Mistry, Macca

In the evening, Spaced descend on the Terrace. As celebrated for their immersive, themed environments as they are for seriously headsy house and techno, the East London loft party crew have been at it since 2014. On the bill: FCE, Tho & Loren, Helly
