Grace Meng
Representative Grace Meng from Queens, NY.

Pls tell Republican leadership to stop supporting the antisemitic candidate.

Bernie Moreno. Juan Ciscomani. Carlos Gimenez. Young Kim. Victoria Spartz.
None of them were U.S. citizens at birth. What about them?
This is just a disgusting excuse to target Democratic Representatives who serve our nation too. There is no limit to the hypocrisy.

If this makes you mad, pls donate to @johnnygarciaforcongress. Help flip this seat!

Great news! Bravo to @welchsfruitsnck for removing food dyes from their snacks. Other companies should follow suit! If you don’t do right by our kids, we will legislate and force you to. Treat our American customers as well as you treat your international customers. 👏

Ready to manage my committee hearing today. I cannot let the House majority cut our programs to preserve legal services, combat hate crimes, increase STEM funding, create American jobs and advance climate research activities.

We are full steam ahead on pushing for the reopening of the Elmhurst LIRR. Thank you, Congresswoman @grace4ny, for your relentless advocacy for Elmhurst!

Love is not always shown in words but in strong silent sacrifice. The grandma who left her family behind in Taiwan & came to America on her own, cleaned homes and raised kids from other families, who later took care of me every day, who once saved my sister’s life…the mom who raised her siblings at a young age. She then left her whole young adulthood behind and came to America. Lived in a basement, got married in an empty church without any of her friends there. She helped watch my kids as I worked. My mother in law left part of her family in S. Korea, worked small jobs while her husband studied for his dental degree. My husband still doesn’t like ramen bc he had to eat it too often as a kid as they scraped to get by. Beyond grateful this Mom’s day.

Today, City Mission NYC was proud to stand underneath the Elmhurst mural that our neighbors helped create while advocating for the reopening of the Elmhurst LIRR station. 🚊🫶🏼
This station was taken away from our community in the 1980s, yet the need for accessible transportation in Elmhurst has only continued to grow. Immigrant neighborhoods like ours once had stronger accessibility and infrastructure, but over time, many of those resources have slowly been taken away while our population continues to increase.
In 2013, an MTA survey projected that reopening the station would generate nearly 3,800 daily riders, showing overwhelming community support even over a decade ago. Today, that need is even greater.
Our neighbors are overcrowding the M and R trains every day, especially on weekends when service is often inconsistent and skips our neighborhood. Families, workers, students, and small business owners need more accessible and reliable transportation options.
Reopening the Elmhurst LIRR station is not just about transit. It is about investing in immigrant communities, supporting local businesses, improving accessibility, and giving dignity and opportunity back to neighborhoods that have too often been overlooked.
Thank you Congresswoman Grace Meng and Councilmember Shekar Krishnan for continuing to fight for Elmhurst and advocating for this station to return to our community.

Co-owners of Elm Roastery, David and Lester both live in Elmhurst, and opening Elm Roastery was their way of creating a third space for their neighbors, friends, and community to gather.
Elmhurst is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the world, filled with incredible small businesses, restaurants, and cultures that deserve to be experienced by more people across New York City. We truly are food central for Queens.
Reopening the Elmhurst LIRR station would not only support small businesses like ours, but also help bring new opportunities to the many local restaurant owners, shop owners, and families who have invested so much into this neighborhood. Easier access means more people discovering Elmhurst, supporting local businesses, and helping longtime residents continue to thrive as our neighborhood changes and grows.
Thank you Congresswoman Grace Meng and Councilmember Shekar Krishnan for fighting for this community and advocating for the reopening of the Elmhurst LIRR station after so many years.

Earlier today, I visited several locations in Forest Hills and Rego Park that were targeted with hateful vandalism. What I saw was disgusting beyond description. There is zero tolerance for hate in our city, and those responsible must be held accountable.
Thank you to Speaker Julie Menin for coming out to Queens, along with my colleagues in government Council Member Lynn Schulman and Congress Member Grace Meng, to see this firsthand. Grateful as well to Chief Russell Green, Commanding Officer of NYPD Patrol Borough Queens North, Captain Fennessy, Commanding Officer of the NYPD 112th Precinct, their teams, and the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force for their work.
I met with community stakeholders, including leaders from Rego Park Jewish Center and the early childhood center there in my district. The hate I saw on these walls, on private homes, and even on a car, is unacceptable. We will not allow this in our communities.
