If you’ve been thinking about designing your own typeface but didn’t know where to start, this is a clear and well-structured introduction to the process.
Over two days, you’ll go through the full workflow — from drawing your first letters to building a working font.
You’ll cover spacing, diacritics and punctuation, try a bold version, create a variable font, and explore simple browser-based animation.
The workshop is led by Rainer Erich Scheichelbauer @mekkablue and Matteo Bologna @muccatypo

Latin Two by @practicatype is a 15-week live online program (April 1 – July 15, 2026) focused on expanding a typeface into a multi-weight family. The course explores building compatible masters, interpolation, and structuring font families and their design spaces.
