🏀 Новите баскетболни игрища в двора на 96 СУ са готови и вече се ползват от учениците и феновете в квартала.
Съвсем скоро очакваме да бъдат подменени баскетболните табла и рингове, като временно освежихме и пребоядисахме старите, за да са в тон с цветовете, които ползвахме.
⏱️ По време на пролетната ваканция, в продължение на 8 дни успяхме да реализираме тази мащабна художествена намеса, която се разпростира върху площ над 900квм. Имахме и нелеката задача да изградим игралните полета от 0, тъй като новият асфалт беше заличил очертанията. Припомнихме си часовете по математика и геометрия в съвсем приложна ситуация :)

Happy to share with you the final look of my recent ground mural project in the city of Burgas for the lovely @hashtagpavilion right next to the beach 🎡🪩
This artwork is stretching over more than 250 square meters, covering the whole floor of the pavilion and climbing on the vertical walls too. It was quite a challenge to execute it because we had to paint simultaneously with other workers building the place, so planning smart every step of the process was crucial.
Another challenge was the weather since the sun was burning from the very morning on the spot, but also humidity was playing tricks with us not allowing the paint to dry overnight.
I am super happy that we managed to finish it on time and it was mostly because I got my back covered by @jermain__art who helped me throughout the whole process. Shoutout and huuuge thanks bro! 🙏🙌

This artwork is stretching over more than 250 square meters, covering the whole floor of the pavilion and climbing on the vertical walls too. It was quite a challenge to execute it because we had to paint simultaneously with other workers building the place, so planning smart every step of the process was crucial.
Another challenge was the weather since the sun was burning from the very morning on the spot, but also humidity was playing tricks with us not allowing the paint to dry overnight.
I am super happy that we managed to finish it on time and it was mostly because I got my back covered by @jermain__art who helped me throughout the whole process. Shoutout and huuuge thanks bro! 🙏🙌

It was quite a challenge to execute it because we had to paint simultaneously with other workers building the place, so planning smart every step of the process was crucial.
Another challenge was the weather since the sun was burning from the very morning on the spot, but also humidity was playing tricks with us not allowing the paint to dry overnight.

Месокомбинат „Родопа“, известен като Софийската кланица, е построен през 1934 г., като градата се смята за един от най-добрите примери за ранната българска модернистична архитектура.
През 90-те години завода фалира и е приватизиран. Оттогава сградите стоят предимно празни, използвани от време на време като складове, а в последно време – оставени да се рушат.
През 2022 г. Министерството на културата признава значението на обекта и го обявява за недвижима културна ценност от национално значение на модерната епоха.
През последните 4 години използвахме празната сграда като площадка за творчество. Общата ни работа е представена в предстоящата книга, заедно с историята на мястото. В нея ще намерите архивни кадри, архитектура, дизайн, фотография и много творби от нас и нашите гости.

The Rodopa Meat plant, also known as the Sofia Slaughterhouse, was built in 1934 and is considered one of the finest examples of early Bulgarian modernist architecture.
In the 1990s, the plant went bankrupt and was privatized. Since then, the buildings have mostly stood empty, used occasionally as warehouses, and more recently, left to crumble.
In 2022, the Ministry of Culture recognized the significance of the site and declared it an immovable cultural asset of national importance of the modern era.
For the past 4 years, we have used the empty building as a creative space. Our joint work is presented in the upcoming book, along with the history of the place. In it you will find archival footage, architecture, design, photography and many works by us and our guests.

КАК СЕ ПРАВИ БАСКЕТБОЛНО ИГРИЩЕ
🏀 Видео от процеса на създаване на хоризонтален стенопис върху две баскетболни площадки в двора на 96СУ в София.
🙌 Отне ни 8 дни и екип от четирима професионални художници с дългогодишен опит, за да изградим композицията от самото начало - през точното оразмеряване на баскетболните полета, полагане на всички необходими слоеве, забъркване на правилните цветови тонове и финално полагане на белите линии върху всичко.
🧮 Стандартния размер на едно игрище е 28х15м, което прави 420квм, тоест общата площ на двете площадки и рамката около тях е над 900 квадратни метра, от което следва, че сме боядисали около 3500-4000квм имайки предвид всички необходими положени слоеве 🤯
🛹 Добре, че беше скейта, за да си спестим време от обикаляне по площадката - средното количество крачки, които правихме на ден беше по 20 000 на човек.
🙏 Огромни благодарности към Алекси, Венци и Ганчо (@aleksi_varna @jermain__art @ganchev.gana ) за професионалната помощ по време на процеса, за добрите идеи и предложения как да олекотим работата и най-вече за приятното време прекарано заедно.
📽️ Благодарности към @jermain__art за всички кадри с дрона и готините гледни точки от които засне процеса. Въпреки силните ветрове се справи топ с пилотирането!
✨Благодаря на Веско за поканата в проекта и много се радвам, че успяхме да реализираме още една баскетболна площадка, която се надявам, че ще зариби още повече хора да спортуват или просто да се вдъхновяват от позитивната градска намеса в квартала.
