After 15 years of being locked away in storage I finally gained the courage to face the past and try to recover my beloved record collection or at least what I could save. The storage unit was eventually taken over by rodents and let me tell you the shit I had to go through (pun intended) was no joke, hence the hazmat suit. But damn it was worth it, most of the records were in great condition, no warping etc... Used some distilled water and rubbing alcohol and they look brand new. It's funny I never really felt complete without my collection, but the universe 😂 i mean my aunt said it was time to return to the source of my happiness and to get these damn records out of her house 😂😂😂.

Often the un-sung heroes of the dance floor, DJs often get the spotlight, but there’s another artist working behind the scenes who’s equally crucial to the experience. The “light man”doesn’t just flip switches, they read the room, anticipate the music’s emotional peaks and valleys and paint the dance floor with color.

The music sets the story, but the lighting brings it to life. When both are on point , that’s when the night becomes unforgettable.

I met Gary years many ago when I was producing parties at Santos Party House and we connected instantly. He’s passionate about his craft and cool as hell. Good Room winning DJ Mag’s Best Small Club in North America isn’t only about the music and space, Gary’s artistry is a huge part of what makes that room …well… good!

Gary and I have had a long running inside joke for years: a disco ball should never look like it survived a windstorm. He knows. I hope he was thinking of me in the photo of him cleaning one!

Gary also facilitated John Ceglia and I brining COME TOGETHER to Good Room in the first place , so we are very thankful to him for that. Can’t wait to share the night with him tomorrow! Love you Gary!
