Project M Coupe, E92 M3 inside an M Coupe
Big announcement 📣 @galavantory has officially joined the team at @eventuri_ and has already jumped into engineering development alongside @bilal.eventuri Many BMW enthusiasts already know Alex for his passion, technical knowledge, and engineering work within the community. Excited for what’s ahead, because the best intake systems on the market just got even better.

For those folks who've told me to just-drive-it, I give you: burnout diagnostics.
Take the car.
@grahamcracklepop and I finally got to run the tail without rain. Capping off Cherohala skyway, Helen, and route 19. What. A. Blast.
With more codes sorted out, it was finally time to see if it could make it past 2nd gear with all the e92 M3 electronics. Turns out they were happy today and granted me access to the DCTs full range.
4 years.
The E92 M3 swapped M Coupe is a running and driving car. It's truly a bizarre feeling to watch so many of your own decisions, designs, and self-teachings, come together to create something you're going to pilot. Since the last time this car "drove", that mindset has dominated every touch. From major safety and usability upgrades to completely throwing out old systems and starting again.
All I want to do, is drive it. Hard.
Thanks to everyone who's been following along. From the wonderful positivity, knowledge, and insights learned, I could not build something like this without a community to learn from.
Dear @bmw , please make an NA V8 again.
On the M Coupe progress side:
- Complete working E9X M3 cooling system
- New OEM fuel system (pump and sender)
- F8X DCT cooler + improved racing passive thermostat
- Custom shroud to mount the OEM E9X M3 fan
- New axle hardware + diff serviced
- @falllinemotorsports @indstyle billet DCT pan
- Finally out of limp mode!
- & Many time-suck micro tasks
My newly acquired 1971 BMW E3 2800 Bavaria in Agave green over brown. Stored in a barn since 1991.
This car was owned by the former CFO of L.S. Starrett Company, who bought it new the 70s. It was eventually parked in a barn in 1991 until his recent passing in 2024. Upon clearing out his estate, his E9 and this E3 were discovered. The car was full of old maps, a McDonald's straw still in its wrapper with a copywright for 1991, a 90s Escort radar detector, and lots of mouse urine.
This E3 - having a previously rebuilt engine and new drivetrain - but a rough re-paint and some rust - was deemed basically a parts car. The restoration shop working on both cars was apparently on the verge of pulling the good parts from this E3 and scrapping it, as it wasn't worth nearly as much as the E9. But - thankfully - they chose to list it for sale as-is with just enough info to peak my interest. I left my number as instructed and eventually got a call back. A new front left brake caliper, some disinfecting, and a new fuel filter and plugs was enough to make this E3 road-worthy again, and it's a pure reminder of simpler times and gorgeous lines. Welcome back to the open road, you beautiful thing.
A match made in heaven, made possible. @krisclewell wanted a 1.9 TDI in his OG 1988 Isuzu Trooper, and came to me for merging the two platforms. We settled on leaving the trooper drivetrain as in-tact as possible, which meant engineering a flywheel and adapter plate to adapt the TDI to the Troopers transmission and clutch. I scanned the trooper components and worked from there.
The adapter plate was machined from 6061 aluminum, and the flywheel from 1018 steel to keep cost down. The original ring gear was then heated up, removed, and installed onto the new flywheel. Kris then worked his VW magic to make the TDI feel at home and presto chango, an ALH 4x4 Isuzu Trooper was born.
