I had the absolute pleasure of contributing additional production to the latest offering from HEAVY weights @bigbirdkuti x Talib Kweli x @vectorthaviper !

Kinda crazy how this came about - I released the vinyl run of my EP ‘FWIHB’ a few years back, it was totally independent so I was reaching out directly to shops, one of them @rarekindrecords who took a chance on me. A few weeks later I get a message from @jeanmolo admiring my work and asking if I’d be up for getting involved with something he’d been working on. A few days later I had the vocal stems of Sean Kuti and Talib Kweli in my inbox 🤯 (as well as Black Thought at the time! Originally from ‘African Dreams - Remix’ version, well worth a listen)

Such an honour to make a contribution to such illustrious company. Always grateful to @jeanmolo for getting me on board!

Part 2: NORWICH!

Wowsers you lot are the best!

We’re still living in our high from the show last week. We mean it when we say we couldn’t believe how it turned out. One second we were worrying about playing to an empty room, and the next we were met with a sea of beautiful faces.

We wanted these gigs to feel different and go a little against the usual grain. We’ve also been talking a lot about community and what it means to have one. And so, in ways we weren’t quite expecting, we had a show we were proud of, and got to share it with our little bubble of a community.

We’re so happy to have had this experience with you, and it’ll be something we’ll always remember. Thanks for being there - you’re the best x

Part 1: LONDON!

It’s been just over a week since our London show, and we’re still feeling the high. In a basement venue in Stoke Newington, beneath an Acid House Chess Tournament, we were met with familiar and not so familiar faces for the first of our two launch parties. We’re so happy we were able to share the project with such a lovely crew ahead of its release - playing it live and then hearing the studio versions from the speakers was a total full circle moment for us. We’ve been playing this EP live for a long time, and now we’ve finally been able to set her free. Thank you for being there - you’re the best x
