Exclusive: A dead cowboy, a punk drifter, and a hippie history teacher set off a surreal crime story in the trailer for 'Flick!,' the debut feature from Nicolas Pegon and one of Cartoon Movie's buzziest titles.

We spoke with Pegon and Wizz producers Claire Madigan and Amanda Stubbs about the film’s comic roots, its musical themes, and partnering with Folivari's FOST on the impressive-looking feature.

Through an alternating montage, the film connects the backstage of a circus, where a wild animal is trained to perform, with the intimate world of a four-year-old girl learning what it means to “grow up.” Two stories echo each other, revealing the quiet violence of conditioning: taming animals for entertainment, and shaping young girls to fit an idea of femininity.

Who performs best: the dancing lioness, or the child being taught her role? Only the Boob Fairy knows who truly deserves her attention! ⚡
