At the beginning of 2025, I started a business called Void Monster where I do monthly pre-orders of various trading card game accessories and apparel that I design. It started off really slow, but I mostly was just looking for a way to get the money back that I’d have to spend to make the shirts and playmats that I wanted to wear or use for myself, so low sales was fine. But it started building more and more over the course of 2025 and became much bigger than I expected it to become. We are now about 14 months into our business and have hit just over 3100 orders in total. It has been a lot of late nights and busy weekends that would be impossible to have done without @ghouly.things helping me every step of the way. @ghouly.things has handled all of our social media and the vast majority of our customer support and shipping/packaging and has been absolutely killing it. I still have my position at Blizzard so as orders each month became more and more, I needed all the help I could get. But even now, it is getting to the point that the two of us can’t manage it on our own, so we recently partnered with a fulfillment center near Portland that will be helping ease our struggles with packing and shipping orders.

It has just been such a crazy and wild endeavor, and it just keeps going. I’m very grateful for everyone who has supported us in building this and been encouraging of everything I’ve been making, it really means a lot. I’m very excited for the next steps, but a lot of this year is just getting used to not having to do all of this out of our house/garage anymore!

I just wanted to say thank you all so much and I can’t wait to get to work on more things for this!

Counterspell was the first print our friend @_voidmonster trusted us with to start to bring his game mat designs to t-shirts.

Like most of his artwork, the prints are very color focused.

We spent a good chunk of time beforehand really dialing his print colors so not only do they POP but also so the colors compliment each other nicely.

Does this take longer… Yes, but we take the time to make sure that the prints truly blow the customers away when they get to see them in person for the first time.

Only two times in my print history have we had a customer not super stoked on the print colors we chose. While they were long ago, they certainly left a lasting impact. We learned from it and that’s why we take color so seriously.

I think we swapped out the ink colors 3 times for this print, but getting the best result is worth it.

🕸️🕸️One of the illustrations I did for Magic the Gatherings Spider-Man set just got revealed!🕸️🕸️
I’m super grateful I got to do the art for Spider-punk! I love the character design so much and had a great time exploring how to showcase the character. It probably takes place as my all time favorite card to work on.
