Ukrainian-born, London-based folk artist Maria Mihailik comes to Other Space Arts this May for an intimate evening of poetic songwriting and delicate, emotionally rich live music.

Blending timeless folk influences with contemporary indie-folk honesty, Maria’s songs weave together haunting vocals, reflective lyricism and beautifully understated arrangements. With recent releases and a growing run of UK live shows, she’s quickly becoming one to watch on the London folk scene.

Joined by special guest Kitty Whitelock, expect a warm and immersive night of live music in our upstairs venue.

For fans of Bob Dylan, Fiona Apple, Joni Mitchell and Naima Bock.

Born in Ukraine and living in South East London, Maria Mihailik is a young singer-songwriter. Inspired by an eclectic mix of songwriters, like Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Fiona Apple and Amy Winehouse, she blends folk styles and contemporary themes in a confessional, intimate way.

Support on the night comes from local wordsmiths Alfie Crinion and Joe McGregor. This is a night by the younger folk but not just for younger folk. It is a chance for us all to see that the future is in safe hands.
