When André 3000 mentioned “Little Rooms” and his reverence for the Dungeon Family in his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction speech, it seemed like a perfect time to highlight this digital exhibition, “The Future Happened”, which is still currently accessible. This exhibition includes an entire section dedicated to Atlanta, including an oral history/design archive that features Organized Noize members—Rico Wade, Sleepy Brown, and Ray Murray—reflecting on the Dungeon as a space of community, collaboration, family, and perseverance. This was one of my favorite projects to help develop, and it was an honor to serve on the curatorial team alongside Lawrence Azerrad, Ruby Savage, and Marlon Fuentes.

“Great things start in little rooms…” 👑 🛸 👽

The Future Happened: Designing the Future of Music is a virtual exhibition by Museum of Design Atlanta that traces the evolution of music culture through the lens of design, from album art and stagecraft to sound technologies and immersive experience design. Click the link in my bio to explore.

Yesterday I landed at @atlairport and spotted the “Lightning, Struck” installation that was originally part of the JUSTICE (2023) exhibition at Science Gallery Atlanta. This was my first time seeing it in this space!

I served as curator for that exhibition, and it was such a rich moment to work with artists, researchers, journalists, designers, and community members to tell meaningful stories through large-scale sculpture and installations. The original iteration of this particular work was a 3-D installation with house-shaped sculptures you could walk around; this current iteration features the panels of those sculptures installed along both sides (and the ceiling) of the corridor that leads airport visitors to/from the rideshare area.

It’s always exciting when a project you believe in continues to live on and highlight the stories of the people who truly love and reflect this city. And now, nearly 200,000 people get to experience “Lightning, Struck” each month, making it one of the most visited works in Atlanta. Be sure to check it out when you’re walking to your Uber/Lyft in the north terminal as you leave the airport…it should be up through the 2026 World Cup! ⚽️ 🏆

And more importantly, visit lightning-struck.com to learn all about this important Atlanta story⚡️

Special thanks to the @atlairport, @emoryuniversity, @scigalleryatl, and @sciencegallerynetwork for supporting this project.

New Moment. New G.O.A.L. 404 Day was the perfect moment to kick off @goalatlanta (G.O.A.L. - Games of Atlanta’s Legacy) as we explore how Atlanta’s sports, business, and cultural sectors are inescapably intertwined in a shared legacy.

These are a couple of screenshots from my first essay (“The Intersection”), which is up now on goal-atlanta.com and in my bio.

Very excited for this collaboration with @atlanta_way_2.0. More to come soon! 🏆 ⚽️

Today we are launching on #404day!! CHAPTER 1 (The intersection) // A 404 Day Essay
By @floydintl

“With decades of experience hosting large events, a persistent curiosity underlies this summer’s festivities, both in the anticipation and when envisioning the local aftermath: How do we develop a framework that better leverages our commercial success in the sports entertainment industry to create more abundant infrastructure, cultural, and civic outcomes?“

This past weekend I was honored with a Vanguard Award for Culture & Community Advancement for my work in the arts and non-profit sectors. At the ceremony it was a joy to meet fellow awardees who work tirelessly to enrich our communities through public service, arts & culture advocacy, business leadership, and mentorship. I’m looking forward to connecting again over the course of this year in support of our efforts across the region.

I’m also grateful for moments like this to reflect and give thanks for all the amazing people I’ve had a chance to work with in my journey, and for all the people who reach out to extend grace and opportunities for me to make meaningful contributions.

Thank you, Goldyn Smith (@goldynrules) for this recognition and for gathering all of the honorees to highlight our work.

More to come from this moment soon. Let’s keep up the momentum. ✨

On December 31, 2025, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution published its final print edition, ending more than 150 years as a print publication. In the cover story highlighting the future of local media, it was amazing (and humbling) to see Canopy Atlanta (@canopyatlanta) mentioned as one of Atlanta’s strong share of independent organizations. The gravity of our city’s flagship newspaper highlighting a startup digital publication like Canopy Atlanta wasn’t lost on me.

I’m extremely grateful for all the Metro Atlanta communities who continue to extend grace and opportunity for Canopy Atlanta to work alongside them, and for all the journalism fellows, reporters, staff, funders, and stakeholders who continue to pour their heart and soul into this slow and steady work. This is going to be an exciting year!

If you would like to learn more about Canopy Atlanta’s upstart journey and support the organization, please click the link in my bio to help keep the momentum going! Thank you so much!
