J’ai découvert il y a peu cette musique et poésie. Elle m’a profondément touchée et donnée envie de m’exprimer par la danse et l’écrit sur l’amour.
Oui l’amour. Pas celui qui rentre dans les cases, conforme aux standards sociétaux et à ce que tu peux comprendre avec ton cerveau. Même conforme à ce que toi tu avais imaginé pour toi, dans ta réalité ancrée.
Celui qui vient tout bousculer dans ta vie, celui qui change ta réalité et te remet face à toi-même. Le feu de la passion, l’intensité dévastatrice qui se produit quand deux forces qui se reconnaissent se rencontrent. Le big bang, la rencontre des polarités, l’explosion créatrice. Quand les hormones de l’un et de l’autre ont décidés de s’entremêler dans une danse mutuelle. La réaction chimique qui laissent deux âmes transformées à jamais.
Je pensais être arrivée à destination jusqu’à rencontrer cet amour-là. Un amour impossible et qui n’a aucun sens.
Tout vous oppose.
Et pourtant, le feu intérieur se réveille. Pas calmement, non. Comme un volcan d’une puissance monstrueuse. Et toutes tes cellules sont transmutées, soudain tu te souviens ce pourquoi tu es ici.
Et tu n’as plus le choix de revenir en toi, c’est une question de survie maintenant.
Danser, s’exprimer, incarner et être toi sans plus jamais t’excuser de prendre cette place qui t’ai dédiée n’est plus une simple option. C’est la seule voie possible.
Tu n’as plus le choix que de casser les cycles transgénérationnels en osant enfin être toi, si tu veux continuer à vivre après avoir traversé la nuit noir de l’âme causée par la séparation, indispensable elle aussi.
J’ai voulu créer une danse sur cette chanson que je trouve magnifique et qui m’a littéralement permise de libérer les dernières larmes liées à cette histoire qui aura trigger la plus profonde tristesse enfouie en moi. Mais le chemin n’est pas fini. Des âmes sœurs, on en a plusieurs et je me demande toujours « how does it feel to make love to my soul mate » donc..

Last edition of Ass&Cakes was Origins. Coming from Belgium, I was very unsure about how I wanted to honor sensuality and eroticism from my home country.
