I was back in Canada over the summer and I hadn’t been there in a while because the past couple years have been soooo hectic. I was jumping from project to project, from one job to the next, without giving myself the time to ever get... bored!
This hyper-productivity led to an all time low in my creativity. I wasn’t writing much and the few things I did write SUCKED.
Until this summer, that was, when I got away and went back to a place that always made me feel at peace, surrounded by my favourite people.
And then one afternoon I found myself lying on the bed without a clue what to do. I was bored. In that moment I realized the value of that state that I hadn’t experienced in so long, where all creative ideas are born.
Boredom! I loooove boredom.
So I wrote this little essay about these thoughts and made a little cinematic (ish) video about it! If you read all this you rock.
