I love independent films. As a steadicam operator, often times I am brought in for a couple days or even just one scene. In the case of McVeigh, the director wanted the camera to feel tense and stay with our lead and feel the constant tension and stress he was under.
Our set was a cramped single wide mobile home, so there was no room for track and we had to be able to shift with the landing car in the scene. I love using steadicam because it gives our actors a little more freedom to move about the space and make adjustments to their performance at will.
It always feels like a dance, and @alfieeallen and @ashleybenson were stellar dance partners, and were super accomodating to me for the first and only scene that I stepped into.
And my man @woo_10 and @joebou are masters of the Sony Venice build! Always love working with these two cats.

Had fun working on this scene with Tim Blake Nelson and Glen Plummer for the feature film #BangBang The steadicam really allowed us to track Tim's shifting emotions in the scene, and adjust our coverage on the fly.
We were limited on time due to the quickly changing light outside. Ohio has incredibly little daylight in winter time but we were able to grab a good amount of coverage in a short timespan.
