Tarot cards have been in play since the early 15th century, this period was characterized by a belief in the magical power of images. Only 10-20% of the world population could read written texts during this time period, so art and storytelling was the way of communicating with the masses. I have been working on my own set of images coinciding with the traditional 78 card tarot deck can you guess which cards they relate too? Inspired by the upcoming group show @the.houseoftarot coming to fruition next month showcasing 22 artists with immersive installations showcased throughout four floors of an Albert Khan designed building here in Detroit.
