A @coorecrenshaw bunker @pinehurstresort #11 that you do not want to be in. If you missed it, you may never know it exists. @labargolfis making my life easy and doing a fantastic job cleaning up bunker floors and slopes on some challenging bunkers.

A few weeks ago I had a chance to visit one of the best golf courses in the world. Cypress Point is a dream course, pure and simple. I travelled up and down the Pacific Coast over the the past 7 months & these are the holes you imagine building while enjoying the scenery.

As the PGA heads to Bethpage Black I want to revisit the study I made well over a year ago that shows the course evolution since the early 50's. The results show fairway width shrinking from 52 to 30 yds and total FW acreage shrinking from 46 to 18.6 acres.

Sand valley starts with a bang on #1, short but absolutely diabolical on the approach.

One of the most visually striking holes at Sand Valley, the long par 4 2nd. Don't miss right.

Here are a few shots of the punchbowl, no. 17 at Sand Valley. I was given a brief overview on how to run a dozer and then asked by Dave Axland to shape a punch bowl and make a cut in a ridge to see if Bill, Ben, and co. wanted to build the hole before finalizing the routing. Oh, and they were coming in two days.... Rod Whitman followed up a few weeks later showcasing some real talent and sculpted the shapes that are in the ground today.
