Moved post into pre-production and built everything backwards. Mattepainted backdrops in NukeX with help from midjourney to create elements we liked. Layered buildings, sand dunes and mountains for each shot. Created 2D projections in 3D-space. Tweaked the pace. Removed and added new parts until it felt right.

I had the joy of directing a little space dream with @bad_land.tv
"Like satellites, we move in circles. Our feet touch earth, but our thoughts rise, drawn to the hush of orbit and to the ache of elsewhere. This film lives in that hush—in the space between soil and sun, where dreaming lifts us, but belonging brings us home."
80% of this piece was crafted in VFX, with over 350 digital shots created based on the look of @patrick___pichler and my analog photos. We had to find a way to create the places we couldn’t travel to, while still holding onto our nostalgic and analog universe 🪐
