𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘭𝘺, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯.

I found myself running circles through something older than memory. Not a place, not a decision. A bond. A 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 I never consciously agreed to, yet carried as if it had always been mine. Nights lost their edges. I sleepwalked into familiar rooms, believing the slippery 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 could rinse the past from my skin. Instead, it carved the shape of it deeper, etching absence into permanence.

What came out of me was not always language. Sometimes only a phantasm. Sometimes only the silent frame of a 𝐦𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦, still echoing in a 𝐦𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐞 with no audience left to witness it. Eventually, I had to confront the question with no safe answer. Do you even know what 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥 means, when it refuses to leave its own orbit?

Something stayed. Something always stays. Like a 𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 drawn between two distant bodies, against the current, and patient enough to outlive resistance. It wrapped itself around me like a second skin. It did not demand. It only remained, even as the 𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝 burned into a form that could never return to what it once was.

Then, without warning, the 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰 left the fool. Not as punishment. Not as mercy. Just absence, clean and irreversible.

What remained wandered forward. A stranger in an 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 that pitied the prophecy poorly. Moonlight reshaped ghosts into recognizable faces. 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐚 became a survival instinct. Meaning appeared not because it was real, but because it was necessary. Someone was still there. Preserved in the 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞. Not alive. Not gone. Waiting for the moment memory would learn how to see them correctly.

This is the tarot reading of that process, the record of the thread, and the evidence of the loop.

The attempt to 𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 precisely where the footnotes end and somewhere beyond that ending, the circle begins again. Or perhaps it never stopped.

Dosen sekaligus alumni Visual Communication Design (VCD) Universitas Ciputra, Evan Raditya Pratomo resmi merilis lagu berjudul 20s CHROMA, sebuah karya musik yang menjadi bagian dari perayaan 20 tahun VCD UC melalui event CH20MA (CHROMA).

Ide lagu 20s CHROMA lahir secara spontan. Evan menceritakan bahwa awalnya salah satu mahasiswa bercanda saat rapat besar event berlangsung.

“Pak Evan tidak mau buat lagu untuk event ini?”

Candaan tersebut justru memantik inspirasi. Hanya sekitar empat jam setelah rapat, Evan mulai membuka kembali arsip catatan lirik dan ide yang selama ini ia kumpulkan. Dari satu bait sederhana, proses kreatif lagu tersebut mulai berkembang.

Bersama produser musiknya, Dyljon, Evan menyelesaikan produksi lagu ini hanya dalam waktu empat hari.

Dosen sekaligus alumni Visual Communication Design (VCD) Universitas Ciputra, Evan Raditya Pratomo resmi merilis lagu berjudul 20s CHROMA, sebuah karya musik yang menjadi bagian dari perayaan 20 tahun VCD UC melalui event CH20MA (CHROMA).

Seeing these original IP concepts from the Concept Design Illustration class finally standing together on one wall feels surreal. From character design, narrative building, worldbuilding, to visual identity exploration, every project here carries its own heart, voice, and universe.

Proud beyond words of all the students who poured their ideas, sleepless nights, revisions, breakdowns, and passion into these works.

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯?
For me, it started with a joke.

During a student meeting for Outlining Design 2026 CH20MA, one of my students casually teased, "𝘚𝘪𝘳, 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘏20𝘔𝘈?" She joked, but something in that random spark hit me differently.

Still on the same day, on my taxi ride home from a mall in Surabaya, I found myself digging through my notes, pulling out raw words, sentences, idioms, and unused verses. That was the exact moment the universe of this song aligned.

I immediately texted my producer @dyljonmusic recklessly, "𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘵, 𝘈𝘚𝘈𝘗."

Drawing from a universal approach to songwriting, 𝟮𝟬𝘀 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗔 was sculpted not just as a theme, but as a sanctuary for any kind of companionship. 𝙄𝙩’𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙬𝙤 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 (𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚) 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙗𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚, 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝, and say, "𝙇𝙚𝙩'𝙨 𝙙𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨."

Sonically, Dyljon took our synthwave base a step further, blending multi-genre elements to mirror the limitless creative potential I see in my workplace and my students every single day.

It turns out, today, May 17th, 𝟮𝟬𝘀 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗔 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄. No matter who you are fighting for in the crowded crowds, remember:

Today I decided to take a few random snaps in the studio while working on things I can’t share yet.

As I was thinking about what to say, I realized that for most of my life, I’ve been reframing “overthinking” as being “calculated.” But lately, I see that they come from completely different places.
