Today is #AANHPIEqualPay Day. Asian American | Native Hawaiian | Pacific Islander women are paid just 83¢ for every $1 paid to white, non-Hispanic men—but averages hide deeper inequities. Vietnamese, Hmong, and Burmese women face some of the widest #WageGap disparities. We can’t fix what we don’t measure. The Equal Pay Chicago Coalition urges the EEOC to protect EEO-1 data and expand disaggregated data to advance economic justice.

Join us along with advocates, lawmakers, and community members from across the country today for a national social media storm 🌪️ at 1pm CT to advocate against these unacceptable wage gaps because women continue to be underpaid and undervalued.

Since the @usdol isn’t recognizing Women in Apprenticeship Day this year, we’ll do what women in the trades always do: Roll up our sleeves and get it done ourselves 🛠️

Women are already out here welding, wiring, building, leading, and proving every day that apprenticeships are a critical pathway to high-wage careers.

Apprenticeships don’t just train workers — they change lives. @secretarylcd:
We need protections to support women’s access to high wage jobs to close the #WageGap! 🛠️
