El Swiss Epic más que una carrera, es una experiencia de vida.
Este año voy a tener el privilegio de estar ahí, en los Alpes suizos, donde el MTB se vive en su máxima expresión.

Singletracks, senderos alpinos, etapas por encima de los 2.500 metros y un entorno que te exige técnica, resistencia y mucha pero mucha cabeza. Alta montaña real.

Swiss Epic es considerada una carrera legendaria.Las Legendary Races representan la categoría más alta dentro de las Epic Series, y al completar tres de ellas, le otorga uno de los reconocimientos más prestigiosos del ciclismo por etapas: el título de Epic Legend, que solo la reciben quienes han demostrado la disciplina y la resistencia para terminar tres de las pruebas más exigentes del mundo.

Ese sería un buen reto por considerar ¿Qué dicen ustedes?

Este año voy a vivir Andorra Epic…Los Pirineos cuentan con paisajes de otro mundo y sé que va a ser una locura y les comparto cómo me estoy preparando.

Lo que hace única a esta carrera es su escenario: alta montaña real, desniveles, senderos muy técnicos, bajadas de bike park mezcladas con terreno agreste. Es MTB puro y duro.

Además de disfrutar casa etapa, también se disfruta la gastronomía local, naturaleza, los pueblos… una mezcla perfecta entre deporte y experiencia.

Nos vemos en los Pirineos.

¿Una carrera que empieza saltando desde un ferry?
Así es la 4Islands Epic en Croacia.

Una aventura técnica, física y absolutamente hermosa en pleno mar Adriático. El archipiélago de Kvarner es agreste, rocoso y desafiante: acá la bici no es un medio… es la única aliada.

Son 5 etapas entre las islas de Krk, Cres, Unije y Lošinj: casi 300 km de roca pura, senderos costeros y subidas. Parte de la magia es moverse de isla en isla, muchas veces usando ferries como parte del recorrido.

Se corre en parejas, lo que suma estrategia, comunicación y cabeza fría. Por eso es considerada una de las pruebas de MTB más exigentes y divertidas del mundo.

Y sí: es la única carrera del planeta donde la rampa de un barco es la línea de salida.

La Absa Cape Epices la carrera por etapas más prestigiosa y exigente del MTB mundial.

Cada año, en el Cabo Occidental de Sudáfrica, se reúnen los mejores riders del planeta y se enfrentan a un desafío que va mucho más allá del deporte.

Son 8 días, con más de 650 km y hasta 16.500 m de desnivel positivo. Terrenos técnicos, rocas, arena, calor brutal, lluvia…acá no solo se prueba la resistencia: se prueba la cabeza.

Se compite en parejas, un formato que exige estrategia, comunicación y una compenetración absoluta. La UCI la reconoce como hors catégorie, una clasificación reservada para lo que está más allá de cualquier estándar.

Por eso la llaman “el Tour de Francia del MTB”, por su dureza, por lo que significa, lo que exige y por lo que transforma.

Las Epic Series son de esas competencias queforjan el carácter. Representan ese punto exacto donde la bicicleta deja de ser una herramienta y se convierte en un destino.

Este año tengo el privilegio y el honor de ser parte de esta serie mundial diseñada para quienes buscan superar límites que ni siquiera sabían que existían.

Es una experiencia premium de máximo nivel donde se comparte pista con los mejores del mundo, en un entorno donde la técnica y la mentalidad cuentan por igual.

Serán días de pura estrategia, esfuerzo innegociable y paisajes brutales que terminan dándole sentido a la pregunta: ¿Por qué hago esto?
