Saisonauftakt bei Ensemble Proton Bern!

«Heimkommen» – Kennt ihr das Gefühl, an einen unbekannten Ort zu gelangen und euch trotzdem geborgen, vertraut und zuhause zu fühlen? Genau darum geht es im ersten Konzert der Saison am Donnerstag, 16. April 2026, in der @dampfzentrale_bern.

Einem Patchwork gleich erschafft @vicente.wav diese Welt aus Elementen transsilvanischer Fiedelmusik, des peruanischen Huayno und des US-amerikanischen Blues. Es entsteht eine neue, verblüffende, sich an den ursprünglichen Musiken reibende, imaginäre Volksmusik wie aus einer parallelen Realität.
Für @francesca__gaza bedeutet «Heimkommen» diese sehr alte menschliche Geste: der Natur, einer Pflanze oder eben einem musikalischen Detail Bedeutung zu geben. Ihm zuzuhören. Ihm etwas zuzutrauen und es auszubauen. Jede ihrer neun Miniaturen zoomt auf ein bestimmtes musikalisches Detail – wie mit einer Lupe: fragile, rohe, flüchtige, erdende und klare Momente bilden zusammen eine kleine Sammlung. Eine Art Klang-Herbarium?
Den beiden Uraufführungen wird das für Proton zum Oktett verwandelte «String Quartet No. 4 – Amazing Grace» von Ben Johnston zur Seite gestellt. Scheinbar schlicht, tatsächlich auf raffiniert komponierte Weise, erklingt darin die Melodie des Kirchenhymnus «Amazing Grace», der sich über Jahrhunderte tief in die amerikanische Folklore eingeschrieben hat und durch seine Bekanntheit ein Gefühl von «Heimkommen» auslöst.
