Don’t miss “First Draft”, the ‘ Am Art Apprentices’ final showcase on Saturday, May 16th from 4pm - 7pm ⭐️🤩🌸
This year’s multi-media gallery celebrates the learning and creative process that occurred throughout the year. Declaring that growth - on the individual and community level - is a constant process of creation and recreation, and not one with a final draft.
We better see you there! 🙊

Join us for the The Elevated Thought Final Showcase! A final multimedia art show celebrating the hard work and dedication of our ET program participants through the lens of this year’s theme - world making.
This year’s showcase will be featuring the work of the 2025-2026 “I Am Art. I Am Change Apprenticeship” cohort, the RWRK Sustainable Fashion participants, and our Artist Evolution camp cohort.
See you Saturday May 16th from 4-7 for food, fun, and a celebration of art and community—stay tuned for more info coming soon! ✨ ✨

Our Elevated Spaces summer schedule is now live! ⭐️ 🌞
More information and all of the links to register can be found in our bio, for any accommodations or general questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at info@elevatedthought.org or send us a DM
She’s the owner of this house… who are YOU? This is lowkey bad ok. Be nice to me I’m just a baby.
JAXX SPIRIT WEEK TAKEOVER !!
In case you’ve missed it, here are some moments from the Final Showcase last Saturday. 😊💕✨🙈

Mixed Media Tapestry

“Campesino” is a mixed media large-scale tapestry that layers together illustrated scenes of harvesting land blended with the immigration story of two brothers. Adolfo who made the jump to leave for American plastic production factories and Juan who decided to keep harvesting in the Dominican Republic. Both ended up dying of the cancerous chemicals involved with both industries. “Capesino” is made from fabric, canvas, paint, vinyl, and found materials, layering family sacrifices, labor of land, and survival alongside illness and erasure. This tapestry reclaims stories and honors the resilience rooted in the stories passed down to us from our loved ones who are no longer here.
*In memory of Adolfo Antonio Taveras and Juan Erminio Taveras*
•
One of my most emotional, difficult pieces I have ever had to create and so blessed to have the time, space, and support to finish this piece. Some folks Id love you thank:
@rixyxirFor create a safe, fun, and educational space for me and my cohort this year to explore ideas, ask questions, and be supported in so many ways. Learned so much this year thanks to you and feel myself expanding as an artist more than ever this year thanks to you and your camp.🌺
@elevated_thought for the space to showcase my largest piece of personal work yet in front of so many people and create a space where my family can see our stories come to life💜
@essexcountycommunityfoundation for the artist grant I received this year to complete this work at the scale I wanted to and push myself farther than ever for this install as well if the work I have coming up thanks to them.🌱
•
Truly have been blessed and gooe Guance and Papa are proud of me.
