ALL OR NOTHING live at @undertonefestival ✨✨✨

I’m so unbelievably grateful to have the opportunity to get up on stages like this to sing my songs and tell my stories🥹

With a lineup of diverse and wickedly talented female and non-binary fronted acts, Undertone Festival was truly something special to be a part of. @gcmusicnetwork really outdid themselves again in pushing the boundaries of what our industry can look like, and I felt honoured to perform in the inaugural year.

Personally, what a treat it was for me to do my first ELEEA show as a duo!!!🎤🎸🎸 Bringing the songs to life with the ridiculously amazing Carrick Sugden, adding all the special touches that had been dreamed up in the studio this year while recording these newer country/folk songs✨

This song, ALL OR NOTHING, is all about coming to the business end of a relationship, deciding if that person is going to be your all, or nothing at all… I’m so excited to release this one soon🤗💛

🙏🙏🙏☺️

I’ve seen this trend everywhere, but putting mine together was such a trip down memory lane!🥹✈️

I grew up in a small country town with a family that never even took a local family holiday. My beautiful Mum still hasn’t left Australia. Travel definitely wasn’t the norm for us, but for some reason, I always had huge dreams of exploring the world.

I actually went on my first overseas trip with my friend’s family when I was 16 and it was so eye opening.

But my life really changed when I got brave enough to start travelling solo, which began with my first trip to Japan when I was still a teenager.

That 3-week trip had its funny little errors, but it was also absolutely perfect. I had so many adventures, gained so much confidence and met one of my best friends in the whole world (my favourite Frenchie!).

If it hadn’t gone so well, I don’t know if I’d have backpacked so much since, but I’m glad I’ll never know that version of my life.

Travel is wonderful, but let’s be honest, it is almost never the perfect timing or without anxiety about spending the money, stress about sacrificing the time, or fear of what you’re about to experience when you touchdown somewhere totally new, especially all by yourself.

And solo travel has huge pros and cons too. I truly love it, but it can be pretty tough at times through illness, injuries, challenges and loneliness. Especially when you’re on the road for months and months.

But I am so, so grateful that my wish I left in Tokyo to have more adventures came true, because it changed my whole life.

I’ve fallen in love, met special friends, gotten incredible jobs, tested my limits, written hundreds of songs in #TheTravelCollection, and had lucky moments beyond my wildest imagination.

I’ve been incredibly blessed with some of the ways I’ve tied travel into my life, but in general, my motto is just: work hard, live cheap, travel cheap, travel often☺️

47 countries later, the privilege to see the world is something I never want to take for granted, and I don’t. I’m excited to keep chasing adventure forever💙🗺️✨

I was blown away by the generosity of @petemurraymusic last night, asking me during soundcheck if I’d like to come back on stage during his encore to perform this song, DON’T CHANGE. So special!!!🥹

While it’s a privilege to be a support act, you’re often on quite early, when the majority of the crowd hasn’t arrived yet. So to be able to sing again at the end of the show to all of Pete’s lovely fans was an unexpected addition to an already great night.

To apply for this support slot, almost 200 artists covered a song of Pete’s and uploaded it on socials, from which 15 were selected for each of his tour dates on this Longing Summer tour.

I felt a huge connection to this song but only realised after I’d recorded my video, that it was actually an INXS song that Pete had covered on his album. So it ended up being a bit meta that we covered a cover of a cover😂

The true support of the up and coming indie artists on this tour by Pete, his team and his fans was really awesome to see, and I could feel it on and off stage. Thank you to everyone I met who gave me a pat on the back after the show - what a kind bunch! I even came back to a note on my car saying they didn’t want to miss telling me that they loved my set🤗

I’m still in awe of how this year has kicked off. Last night was super special!🤗🥹

that’s almost my whole body weight in luggage, right there🤭

fun fact: straight after this I insisted on carrying all my bags through the Paris metro/train stations by myself, and ended up completely faceplanting down the stairs and bruising my entire left leg…🤕

Oh, and I also split my lip by hitting myself in the face with my ukulele while wearing all my bags and trying to readjust the straps🫦😆

Adding this to the bulging disc in my back that somehow happened while lugging my bags and/or music gear around France, Turkey and Indonesia for 5 weeks last October, and sleeping on airport floors, overnight buses and lots of planes🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Perhaps I actually could’ve used some gym time before I left for 6weeks in France in the middle of winter (or maybe just exercised some more self control at the secondhand stores)💪🤭😂

terrible quality footage from my phone video setting whoopsie, but such a fun night supporting Christine Anu on the weekend!☺️💃🏼🎤🎸✨

I even got to debut a brand new song that’s fast become one of my favourites (EFFORTLESS🥰)!

The crowd kindly sang along to ALL OR NOTHING; and I ended the show with ROOTS, one of my most played songs at every show since I wrote it in 2018 while in Florence, Italy✈️

All while in my $12 opshopped white suit I picked up a couple of weeks ago, and those deadly red shoes I got custom made hehe. I felt like a million bucks!🤠

What a night - cup full!💛☺️

a few of my favourite things: on the move + playing tunes🎵✈️🚉💃🏼

May has been such a great month so far…
🎶 performing at the opening night of The Sapphires musical,
🎶 supporting Christine Anu on her Gold Coast tour date,
🎶 playing a bunch of QLD gigs,
🎶 and now travelling interstate for some fun shows over the next couple of weeks.

Very grateful to start to have my biggest passions of music + travel combine so much in the last few years☺️✨

And while I feel lucky, I also know how much work, dedication and hustle it took to get this far, which makes months like May, and years like 2025/2026, even sweeter when it all starts to fall together so nicely!🙏

& UPDATE: the ‘GuitarTurtle’ backpack thingy has been a good device so far!

Not perfect (I’m still carrying 20+ kgs), but much more ergonomic than carrying my guitar case in my weak little hands. I’ll keep experimenting with my tour packing and keep you posted!😅🎒🎸🐢

I remember watching the performances at the Sydney Olympics, dreaming of being a singer ‘when I grow up’💭

At school, I sang ‘My Island Home’ as one of my first solo songs.

So it was superrr special to meet and open the show for @anuchristine at @thebalconycoolangatta on Saturday Night💫✨

Thank you to everybody in that room for being such an attentive and generous crowd as I shared my songs and stories with you🙏

It was extra lovely to have my Mum there to share the Mother’s Day weekend with.

I grew up following in her musical footsteps, singing and songwriting with her, pretending the cow paddocks were my stadium.

She’s always been my biggest fan and constant reminder to keep the dream alive and that anything is possible. I’m a lucky girl💞

(Unfortunately I pressed the wrong setting on my phone, so my footage of my set looks like it was filmed on a potato - but you can hear it in this song I wrote for my nephews, ‘The Sun’🎶☀️)

from your friendly neighbourhood guitar turtle!🎸🐢🤣

I try to be thoughtful with the travel & music accessories I buy, but figured anything that saves me from breaking my back (literally - still healing a bulging disc) while trying to carry almost my whole body weight around while I play shows all over the country/world by myself, seems like a good buy💪

(You might remember I tried a boogie board bag when I took 35kgs of gear/luggage to Europe by myself for shows, and though it got the job done, unfortunately, that wasn’t the most convenient solution🫠😂)

I’m hoping this little backpack contraption will work well. I’ll keep you posted as I travel for some interstate gigs for the rest of the month and test it out✈️

Would any other musos be interested in a gear/storage tutorial of what I use for gigs?

I know I love gear and packing/storage solutions. I’m so nosy with that type of thing🤣

Shared a snippet of this song when I wrote it on piano last week, and by popular demand, it’s now titled COWBOY CHEMIST🤠🧪

If you’ve ever loved someone battling addiction, I hope this song might speak to you❤️‍🩹

While I’m gratefully in a very happy place now, writing some of the sweetest love songs of my life (☺️✨), I think I could still fill 10 songbooks with the lessons from the last few years.

I’m just very happy to be creating these heavier songs from a place of reflection, not from within my Tortured Poet era🙅🏼‍♀️📝🙏

If you’ve listened to the songs I’ve posted on here as I’ve written them, particularly from MAN OF SUBSTANCE onwards, then you know the gist of it.

While the chorus of COWBOY CHEMIST talks about broken promises, I love the end of this song because it speaks to the most important promise of all, the one that closed the chapter.

“It was as simple and as hard
As walking out the door to end it.
It hurt like hell, but I’m proud
I made a promise to myself -
and I’ve kept it.”

🤍🤍🤍

p.s. as with all my brand new songs I post on here, I’m often still writing and editing them as I post them, so the subtitled lyrics are the most up to date versions📝

wild that what started as a little kid watching the singers at the Sydney Olympic ceremonies in awe and practicing her singing to the cows in the paddock everyday, has turned into this whole life I get to live🎵💃🏼🎤🎸✨

This saturday I get to jump on stage at @thebalconycoolangatta again, supporting @anuchristine(AKA icon, Christine Anu)🤯🫶

(These pics were from last time I was there, supporting @1927bandofficial. I’m so stoked to be back!)

Even after working at this career since I first started gigging at 15, each opportunity and moment like this along the way still holds its gravity.

As I put together this weekend’s setlist, I’m feeling very lucky, very grateful and very excited to share my songs and stories with the crowd.

To be able to share such personal parts of myself to strangers is, weirdly, one of my favourite things in the whole world💞

If you’re around, come hang!! I’d love to see your faces and make a little night of it together!
