love can be perceived as a tool for protection and transcendence (both shield and wings), a universal force, spherical in spirit, with no eyes for confines or perimeters. it can alter one’s attitude and perception in dynamic and magnificent ways. however each individual relationship, at its root, offers an amount of potential for expansion or retraction, whether romantic, platonic or familial, but it is the health of our spirit when examining a relationship that will dictate what we choose to recognise as a condition of love and what positions, qualities and eventualities we are willing to work for and ultimately exalt. it seems we mystify the nature of love by accommodating those oppressive divisions dictated to us and in doing so lose sight of love’s potential and what there is to be gained in every possible kind of loving interaction
