NAKEY MAKEY! Honestly just an excuse to be queer, get naked and make art and new friends!
✨Splinter Factory 683 Parramatta Rd, Leichhardt✨
11th of June 6pm
A celebration of queer and trans bodies, a space to come together and embrace our beauty, diversity, and unique forms. Nakey Makey is an intimate life drawing class, sharing in nudity and co-creation facilitated by @el_beaux_ and @malaikangelking this lightly guided nude life drawing class is for us, by us. It’s a chance to shed inhibitions, share in the beauty of nudity, and engage in co-creation with kin while being bathed in Malaika Mfalme’s improvised sounds.
BYO snacks, something to sit on (rug, mat, sarong), drinks, and drawing materials, some will be provided.
Whether you’re an experienced artist or have never drawn before, Nakey Makey welcomes all and encourages everyone to partıcipate in drawing, posing or vibing. Also, we understand it can be intimating to be nude so clothing is optional too! This is an opportunity for you to feel free and fabulous so you get to make the call on what that looks like.
This will be our last Nakey Makey at Splinter Factory before the doors close 😔 check out @splinter.factory for all the events they’re putting on before then, including their funeral 🖤this venue is up a flight of stairs and so has limited accessibility. Masks are welcome.
This event will take place on stolen Gadigal/Wangal land.
Sovereignty was never ceded. We are grateful to be creating art on the same lands where people have been creating since time immemorial.
Always was, always will be.
As always, First Nations people are welcome free to Kaleidoscope events.

Omggg our TDOV fundraiser raised $1927 for @beyondbricksbars, a trans led decarceration project directly supporting vulnerable or imprisoned trans & gender diverse folk.
Thank you sooo much to all the angels who came, donated, supported and celebrated on the day. This was huge 💓

Introducing our gorgeous poets for this Trans Day of Visibility backyard, a fundraiser for @beyondbricksbars.
Coming together matters especially in times when care and solidarity are so important. This event is a chance for our community to slow down, share, celebrate trans lives and raise funds to support trans incarcerated folk.
Amidst haircuts, market stalls, tattoos, food, drinks and live music, we’ll ALSO be graced with the generous words of...
Imbi
imbi is a practicing mystic and multitudinous artist currently residing on unceded Gadigal Land. They are the founder of Word of Mouth: an evening of indulgence in vulnerable self expression and a frequent performer of poetry, performance art and music. Through all their creative channels imbi maintains a commitment to practicing magick, queerness and connection in spite of the insidious reach of empire.
Mo dhuine (joe)
Joe is a proud queer, Irish diaspora artist born on unceded Wurundjeri country, living on Dharawal land. They move between old Gaelic folk music and contemporary soundscapes with a deep desire to inhabit a warmer, softer world.
El Wilken
El is an anti disciplinary artist who creates their world so it is filled with connection, authenticity and spontaneity. El wants us to be engaged and confronted, finding that creative success sits in places where shame is shed, joy is spread and reflection comes alive. They love to write, dance and play to express themselves and escape to the bush to decompress.
Lexi Love
Lexi Love (they/them) is an artist, singer, poet, and permission frequency. Based on Gadigal land and originally from a small town near Liverpool, UK, their work defies categorisation — experience a bold, sensory blend of music, poetry, storytelling, dance, and silliness that explores the full spectrum of human emotion.

Was so gorgeous to create art out of discarded tech. To talk about the earths minerals being unethically mined and repurposed into pieces that are now being thrown away without a thought. It felt really special to gather at @stanley_street_gallery and bring these pieces back to life in new art forms among @suzonfuks exhibition e-galaxy.
Check out Suzon’s page for more workshops coming soon.

Coming together matters, we matter, you matter. This Trans Day of Visibility backyard gig is a relaxed fundraiser for trans youth initiatives, and a moment to gather & share in trans joy, hosted by yours truly 🪅
We acknowledge that this event takes place on stolen land, where First Nations people have been gathering in story and song for time immemorial. We pay our respects to their ongoing care for the skies, land and waterways of Gadigal & Wangal Country where we gather. We stand in solidarity with our First Nations siblings - none of us are free until all of us are free.
Come hang out with us for a cozy afternoon of live music, poetry, food, drink and market stalls.
Sunday 29 March
3:30pm - 8:30pm
$15 (First Nations come free)
