We’re back and excited to welcome one of our favorite producers, @ekkel__ . After hosting him in NYC twice and crossing paths again in Australia, it felt natural to work together again.

Teo makes trance that feels like hearing trance for the first time again.. pure ecstasy. These tracks capture that feeling perfectly. We love this record and hope you do too ❤️

Ekkel guides Earth Dog to The Destination, a four-pronged psychedelic clinic in the finest Nordic electronic tradition.  

Co-founder of Norway’s Ute collective, celebrated Oslo-based producer and DJ Ekkel revels in prog naturalis. Previous releases as Alvar and Shadowmages, his duo with S.O.N.S., perfected this tripped-out sound with a heavy emphasis on melody. Following last year’s celebrated appearance at an Earth Dog rave in Brooklyn, he returns to grace the crew’s fourteenth release with The Destination.

Opener Questions About Mindcontrol awakens the discordant synapses, an entanglement of melodies and rhythm with a certain progressive attitude. Home Or In A Dream (Miami Morning Mix) properly ascends with trance-like wonder and ecstatic lucidity, before So Quiet returns to dusk with a tek-no throb and acidic bite. Destination G concludes with a nocturnal shimmer, an unrelenting groove caught in its own hypnosis ‘til the finale.

All night trancy affair and a logical continuation of Marius Bø's offering last September - visiting from neighbouring woodlands, it's Ekkel @ekkel__ @ute.rec

From the studio he emits a modern take on Nordic electronic of the ‘90s that is as mental as it is progressive, then diving head first into breaks and percussive trips as Ekkel.

Ekkel is the co-founder of Norway’sl Ute crew that grew quickly from smoke filled mornings on the Norwegian forest floor to showcases at Bassiani and the bush parties of Australia.

Founded in 2017, the Ute label boasts a cult-like following for its approach to psychedelic trance music as well as long form downtempo and chill out sounds presented on sub labels Sinensis and Translusid.
