2025 was a movie. A psychological thriller that almost took me out a few times. But I made it thru sheer perseverance, with the support of loved ones and the most amazing friends one can have... Now I need 2026 to be one of those "Feel Good" movies with no dramatic plot twists or trauma... Happy New Year Everyone 🎉🎊
Here's a recap of last year with a few things I did and enjoyed:
1. The last piece of art I finished in 2025
2. Self portrait of a Man who had enough
3. First half of the year had me in a nasty chokehold
4. Those two red days were breaking points. Blue days were mostly "shit happens but we gotta keep pushing thru the dark tunnel"
5. Two of my fav cakes I baked in 2025. Maybe I'll go on a side quest this year and open a bakery
6. A much needed weekend away from chaos
7. A painting I did for a lovely couple, commissioned by my fav lawyer.
8. My fav movies of 2025.
9. Fav moment assisting my love on her photography journey
10. Saw some amazing arts in person
11. Moment with nephew Carl
12. Read quite a few books. Dawn was great. The Absolute DC series is a banger. The Message is prescient. Not thru Chronicles of Ori yet but it's one of my fav gifts by my fav Jamaican.
13. My nail grew back
14. Listened to quite a bit of music in 2025. But I knew my wrap was going to be like this after running back that Clipse album for the 15th time
15. My fav shows of 2025.
16. Seeing Bugonia with my favorite human

Last month, @labelletogolaise visited so we could resume our shenanigan... This was my second time doing shibari and I had moments where I was like "damn, I might just be really good at this".

Two months ago today, after a grueling job search, I went back to the corporate world as a Lead Data Engineer overseeing a small team and the effort to modernize a company’s Analytics department. I knew the job market was wild, but I didn’t expect to go through real-life episodes of Survivor just to land something.
After sending hundreds of applications into the void and sitting through endless 1st round interviews that led nowhere, I decided to switch things up. I ditched LinkedIn and built an app that finds job openings the moment companies post them; no more waiting days for them to show up online after hundreds of people already applied.
That project became both a necessary distraction and a way to flex my nerd muscles. Once I added it to my resume, more recruiters were reaching out, interviews picked up, and I eventually found my current role through it. The hiring process was just a short conversation with the Director of Engineering and another with the Chief Transformation Officer about my project and experience instead of 5 rounds, live coding, alligator wrestling, and blood sacrifice... When I asked why they moved so fast, the director told me I was the only one who actually proved I knew my shit. Fair enough.
I'm not here to sell you anything...Just reminding y’all to stay curious, keep learning, and build things for the hell of it. You never know where a passion project might take you.

Slide 1: A piece I made two years ago with AI using a process I never documented. I remember blending the latent space of a photo I shot with a glitch image I created. One day I’ll figure out how to do it again.
Slide 2: Art from a generative coding project I’ve been building for over three years. I originally started it as a way to relearn JavaScript.
Slide 3: Book 1 helped me learn enough Python to be extremely dangerous. Book 2 has been a longtime bible. I had a bootlegged PDF copy of it for a decade but finally bought it. Book 3 gave me a solid intro to LLMs, and Book 4 is the compass for my next quest.
Slide 4: The project that landed me the job, built with Python, SQL, Snowflake, Gemini, and Dagster.
If you’ve made it this far, you’re a nerd too.

Today is my favorite human's birthday: @addictedtodom . So, it's the perfect reason for me to post two of my favorite "slice-of-life" photos of her taken 3 years ago, a day before her bday... This year I watched her step out of her own way to pursue her dream as a storyteller. Witnessing her becoming an amazing photographer and director makes me proud. Just look at what she's done in just a few months starting out (last slide) 🤩. .. Happy Birthday my love!

Two years ago today with my favorite West African @labelletogolaise. I was going to move on from posting black and white for a while but then I remembered the anniversary of this shoot and the many photos from it that I hadn't posted yet.

The Excruciating Acts of Rebirthing Yourself
Narrated by @labelletogolaise
Two years ago, I created a version of this piece but abandoned it (along with the entire project) because I felt I hadn’t lived through enough trauma to truly connect with it. Then life, of course, decided otherwise. After enduring some intense character development, especially over the past 10 months, I considered revisiting the project as a way to process everything but still held back. I certainly didn’t want to jinx myself (again). What finally pushed me forward was a friend’s life story, which inspired me to recreate this one and share it now.

Yesterday I finally got back to painting after almost 2 years of not touching a paintbrush and it felt really good. Can't show BTS but here's a couple of my favorite sculptures I made last year when I got into ceramic.
A Silent Scream (2024)
Existential Crisis (2024)
Black Moist Clay (Pre-Glaze)
Available for acquisitions
