“The Penrith Panthers are taking it off…”
For a good cause.
Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of cancer in Australians, while melanoma is the most serious. It’s often called Australia’s national cancer.
This campaign is helping make skin checks easier, faster and a whole lot more accessible, with some pretty incredible tech inside that bus.

Day for night, moonlight test. 🌒
What are the tells?
Too much flare?
Harder edge?
A young woman stumbles upon the eerie message “Summon the SPK” in a dusty mirror and, naturally, thinks, “What the hell, why not?”
Massive thanks to the creative masterminds Roy, Chris, and Josh, and to the whole Ogilvy team for dreaming up this wild, watermelon sugar-high.
And, shout-out to the costume team for absolutely crushing it— both with the jelly-like SPK character and our heroine’s killer look.
This was a fun detour on the way to my horror feature Lake Hart scheduled to shoot in May next year!

Thank you to the patients, our tiny production team and the legends across Ogilvy Health & Bowel Cancer Australia, for a wonderful collaborative experience.
If I’m honest, this project rattled me at times, but the people at the heart of these stories, unanimously had an attitude of making the most of every day on this planet, and that became the ultimate take away.
This campaign is not harbinger of the inevitable, but a reminder of how much we have to be grateful for in every moment. It’s no coincidence that the work I’m most proud of in my career, has a lasting effect on my perspective.
Steph from BCA sums up the message “Younger people are dying from a disease that is 99% treatable when caught early, yet bowel cancer awareness remains low. This campaign aims to change that.”
Listen to your body and know the symptoms.
B - Blood in your poo
O - Obvious change in your bowel habit
W - Weight loss you can’t explain
E - Extreme tiredness for no reason
L - Lump or swelling in your abdomen
