The MIRROR WORK party in June was a huge success. I had an amazing time playing the dance floor and it was great seeing the crowd get down with the art and music on display.

That blend of artwork, live performance and dance music is something I think was really unique and gives this project a lot of potential. Luckily we're doing it again, Friday night at ctrllab.

Expect a gallery setting from 7:30 showcasing several artists in the city, local dancers and performers at 9, and 10 for a whole lineup of DJ sets. Very excited to do this again and I'm hoping to bring y'all a unique and fun experience the whole night.

The ReAssemblage event brings together an eclectic crowd of super-dreamers, creating connections between heterogeneous elements and genres. Inspired by the theme of Collage, ReAssemblage presents visual works, brain-tickling performances, and an array of lively DJ sets, while playing with recomposition, multiplicity and juxtaposition. In a festive spirit, the Collective and its accomplices advocate a greater freedom of expression by mixing various forms of creativity, in order to bring the art back into party and break free from the shackles of institutions and established conventions.

Hey Everybody,

I'm here to announce that my new record, "Getting It Out of My System", is available now to download and listen to. 

It's four tracks of the best music I've made at this point. The sound still hovers in the space around electro/progressive breaks and techno, but it's aggressively more focused. It is very banger-centric, and I think you guys will really enjoy it! Links in the profile.

Some credits are also in order: I really need to shoutout @ojpbeee, who let me use his space and his tech to get these songs to their final mix. They legitimately would not sound as good as they do without him. And to @nahashisalive who made contributions to 'Morphy's Law' that I incorporated and remixed.

Thanks to everyone who encouraged me while working on this through the summer. It's a weird time to post about music, but I hope this can provide something positive while we deal with everything that's going on. I'll be spending this fall working to get some more equipment, to make an even bigger record next year! So look forward to that.

Today I drove about an hour north of Montréal for my delivery job. Not exactly sure where I was the entire time, but I managed to take a few photos with my phone.

What I'll say about St-Jerôme, having now been there a couple of times, is that it's definitely very different from the impressions I've always had of it growing up, and what others have said of the place. It's a very standard suburb most of the time, despite some housing layouts that seem hacked together, and the many basement houses. People are very personable, a mix of well off families and down to earth Quebs. And there were a few black families which was kind of surprising! This felt different from the impression I was given of it being an almost reactionary, nostalgic, and homogenous kind of town.

Sainte-Sophie, shown in the later pics is a different story as I definitely felt very out of place, and kind of wanted to get out asap 😅Wandering on massive unlit properties at night, trying to find a door... I wouldn't want to place my previous bad experiences in rural towns on this area, you just never know if people like you are seen there often. And I'm sure it's gorgeous in the daytime.
