Building the dream bass pedalboard starts with a solid foundation. We used the @rockboardbywarwick DUO 2.1 as our base and the EarthQuaker Devices Scrolls Bass Odyssey as the brains of our signal chain.
The Rockboard’s unique flat surface and precise slot pattern offer the perfect flexibility for this multi-signal path setup. It provides a sturdy, customizable platform that makes complex routing much easier to manage.
To keep things precise, we utilized the Parallel Out on the Scrolls to run a dedicated clean signal straight to the tuner. This ensures our tuning is always accurate without affecting the main tone.
In the Scrolls’ effects loop, we added a Blumes Low Signal Shredder for a second color of overdrive and an Aurelius Tri-Voice Chorus for modulation (and in case we ever want to start a New Order cover band). This chain puts Blumes and Aurelius right between Scrolls' drive channel and its final EQ section.
Connectivity is seamless with this layout. The bass plugs directly into the input of the Scrolls, while the 1/4" output runs to our amp and the XLR out routes to our interface for direct recording or to front of house for an amp-less performance.
The Rockboard’s innovative design allows us to route all cables neatly under the surface. When paired with Rockboard's QuickMount system, we can securely mount everything while completely eliminating the need for messy hook and loop tape. For power, we tucked the Rockboard ISO Power Block V6 IEC underneath.
The result? A finished board that is ready for the studio and stage.

It can be lush and sustaining, but also allows for a great deal of control through length, mix, and filtering. This demo only touches the edges of what it can do. @laraharp is here to demonstrate how she uses Towers in Envelope Mode. In this mode, the filter frequency is changed by an envelope that reacts to the dynamics of her playing. Lara also uses the Stretch function to add an otherworldly sense of movement to a glissando.

While our adventuring party was on the path the Towers Stereo Reverberant Filter, things took an unexpected turn. Our band of bards encountered parts shortages that rendered our planned September 25, 2025 launch unattainable.
However, those familiar with our story know that any type of delay is an invitation to get creative. So, we took the opportunity to spend more time refining Towers. And by "refining" we mean we tore the Towers down and rebuilt it from the ground up.
At the same time, we came into a batch of Germanium transistors, which allowed us to scale up the Barrows Fuzz Attacker from its planned limited run to a permanent member of the EarthQuaker Devices Family of Sonic Solutions.
