But looks aren’t everything. There’s hard science and clever engineering behind this glorious rainbow coating. 🔬

It’s not one homogenous structure like a coat of paint over the nozzle. Instead there’s multiple layers that are blended together, each performing a different job. 🧪

✅ The base layer is steel and copper
💪 Then there’s a layer of ultra-tough Chromium Nitride for extra abrasion-resistance
👌 The final layer is our unique non-stick coating which reduces nozzle blobs and increases print reliability

And because of the way that the coating is deposited on the nozzles the thickness of the topcoat varies slightly, and it’s this difference in thickness that we see as iridescence. 🌈
