Like a lil’ Broadway time capsule 🥹

In honor of next week’s 92nd ceremony, we took a trip down memory lane and revisited the 2016 Drama League Awards. At the time, @cynthiaerivo had yet to defy gravity, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “In the Heights” hadn’t premiered on the big screen and the Broadway community knew “The Crucible” but had yet to realize John Proctor was, in fact, the villain. What a time.

You can mosey down memory lane too. “Treasures of New York: The Drama League,” a documentary about one of the theater community’s most important institutions, is now streaming for free on the ALL ARTS YouTube channel as part of “Broadway and Beyond,” our months-long celebration of theater.
