Corpus Delicti EPはダンサーとしても活動する、東京在住のトラックメーカー及びDJであるMazlikaによる、初のレコードでのリリースです。2017年にトラック制作をスタートし、それから自主リリースというかたちでBandcampや配信サービスでアルバムを発表。また、2023年にはカセットテープにてアルバム「Texture and Physics」を発表しています。子どもの頃からダンスを生活の軸とし、現在はJasmineという名義で、一般的に身体表現やコンテンポラリーダンスと呼ばれるような、既存の型やスタイルに縛られない発想、感覚で、自らの動きを追求。手掛ける楽曲も、拍子の概念に縛られることなく自由に時間軸を行き来するリズム感覚と、聴く人の耳の緊張感が高まるような音の質感が、抽象的ながらもbody musicとして機能し得る音の可能性を提示しているように感じます。名匠POLEの手で施されたマスタリング／カッティングにより、高音はより繊細に、低音はより深く潜りこむ鳴りを獲得。33回転に落としてプレイしてみることも推奨したい一枚です。

With dance at the core of her life since childhood, she currently explores her own physical language through free motion unbound by established forms or styles—often described as physical expression or contemporary dance. This approach to dance is deeply reflected in her music: rhythms that move freely back and forth through time, and sharp sound textures that heighten the listener’s sense of tension. Though abstract, the music reveals its potential to function as body music.
Mastered and cut by the renowned Pole (Scape Mastering), the record achieves greater delicacy in the highs and a deeper, more immersive low end. Listening to the record at 33 RPM is also highly recommended.

Four years on from his last outing, Chiba-based producer Takesu returns to action, this time via the offshoot label of Tokyo music store Dotei Records. Recalling a mix of classic Japense deep house and the more spacey, hypnotic end of the tech-house spectrum, Takesu first offers up the hypnotic and slowly shifting 'The Easy Way', before doffing a cap to the warmth, colour and nostalgia of Soichi Terada on the picturesque 'Az One'. 'Fools Never Die' is a restless chunk of atmospheric and locked-in deep house, while 'Second Store' is summery, sun-splashed and pleasingly nostalgic, referencing early 90s Italo-house and wide-eyed Japanese deep house from the same period.
