Philly’s underground street art scene is taking over Center City this summer as Platform X officially opens inside Suburban Station beginning June 5.

Presented by @stepoutsideshow and @doomedfuture , the new gallery concept will transform part of the transit hub into an immersive street art experience featuring more than 250 original works from artists across Philadelphia and the surrounding region.

The inaugural exhibition, titled USA (United Street Art) 250, will run through July as part of Philadelphia’s broader celebrations surrounding America’s 250th anniversary.

Organizers say the goal of Platform X is to reactivate the core of Center City through authentic street art culture while highlighting Philadelphia’s long-standing influence on graffiti and urban art.

With major international events like the FIFA World Cup bringing increased tourism to the city this summer, organizers hope the exhibition offers visitors a raw and genuine look into Philadelphia’s creative underground community.

“We wanted to reactivate the heart of Center City with street art because Philadelphia has a deep history regarding street art,” organizers shared.

What Guests Can Expect
Platform X is designed to feel less like a traditional gallery and more like stepping directly into the city’s street art ecosystem.

The exhibit will feature:

Hundreds of original artworks on display and for sale
Live art activations and installations
Interactive experiences
Sticker trading opportunities
Immersive gallery environments inspired by graffiti culture
Guests will also have the chance to interact directly with artists and explore installations designed to capture the raw energy of Philadelphia’s street art community.

Philadelphia has long been recognized as one of the birthplaces of modern graffiti culture, and organizers say Platform X aims to honor that legacy while creating opportunities for emerging and established artists alike.
The exhibition’s title, United Street Art 250, also ties into the citywide focus on America’s semiquincentennial celebrations happening throughout 2026.

Philly’s underground street art scene is taking over Center City this summer as Platform X officially opens inside Suburban Station beginning June 5.

Presented by @stepoutsideshow and @doomedfuture , the new gallery concept will transform part of the transit hub into an immersive street art experience featuring more than 250 original works from artists across Philadelphia and the surrounding region.

The inaugural exhibition, titled USA (United Street Art) 250, will run through July as part of Philadelphia’s broader celebrations surrounding America’s 250th anniversary.

Organizers say the goal of Platform X is to reactivate the core of Center City through authentic street art culture while highlighting Philadelphia’s long-standing influence on graffiti and urban art.

With major international events like the FIFA World Cup bringing increased tourism to the city this summer, organizers hope the exhibition offers visitors a raw and genuine look into Philadelphia’s creative underground community.

“We wanted to reactivate the heart of Center City with street art because Philadelphia has a deep history regarding street art,” organizers shared.

We had the pleasure of hanging the incredible artwork for the @tmoms 29th Anniversary Show this past weekend!
