Picture of Calvin is a short experimental doc that was born from a post @calvnism shared about his personal journey as a runner. Coupled with fact that running is one of the few free activities you can do in London all year round it’s remained a way that people can find community, connection and learn more about themselves the world over. Once we’ve grown up, the opportunities to physically push ourselves become fewer, unrelated to economic or structural gains, we stop putting ourselves in new or unfamiliar situations and we start to settle in bar for a few mid & quarter life crises. Settling in isn’t bad but we change over time, we gotta keep testing ourselves and the way we do things.

Anyway what am I saying? I’m saying I saw for a moment- be it temporary or long term- that Calvin was enjoying this very thing, meeting new people, engaging in a growing community, pushing himself and understanding a bit more about himself through running. It’s not the only reason but that’s what I saw and I liked it, so we made a short documentary about it. That’s all there is to it.
