In this new sonic exploration, I wanted to experiment with a more minimal and abstract approach, starting from a rhythmic base strongly inspired by the aesthetics of Alva Noto. I used the @weareelektron ‬Analog Rytm to generate glitches and fragmented rhythmic structures, upon which a deep drone created with the @instruomodular ‬CS-L is layered, processed through a random filter and the granular textures of the TLM Audio Monsoon. To provide continuity and a solid foundation to the track, I chose to insert a hypnotic and constant bass generated by the @moogsynthesizers ‬Mother-32, which accompanies the entire performance from the very first moment by maintaining a stable voltage on the fundamental. The melodic interplay is instead entrusted to two notes generated by the Seq8 of the Ornament & Crime, driving the Instruo Arbhar to create suspended sonic fragments through precise quantization. After the break, the set changes energy with the entry of a second bass, this time more acidic and biting, derived from the Moog DFAM with resonance reaching the edge of self-oscillation. The entire soundscape is immersed in an ethereal and spatial atmosphere, modulated through the @strymonengineering ‬Starlab and Magneto, which provide depth and movement to the entire mix. FULL VIDEO ON YOUTUBE - In this new live session, I wanted to explore industrial techno sounds by putting my modular system and a few specific hardware machines at the center of the set. The main and rawest sound of the track comes from the @moogsynthesizers DFAM, which I used to create the percussive synth lead that drives the entire piece. To provide a solid foundation, I relied on the @arturia_official Microfreak to build a deep, gritty bassline that cuts right through the mix. All the drum parts are handled by the @weareelektron Analog Rytm, which provides the groove and structure for the kicks and percussion. In this patch the main synth voice is generated by the @moogsynthesizers Mother-32, programmed with semi-random notes to create unpredictable melodic variations. The low end is handled by the @instruomodular CS-L, providing a solid and controlled bass layer, while drums and glitch elements are produced by the @weareelektron Analog Rytm.

Inside the Instruō Arbhar I recorded a sample of an operatic singer’s voice, which is processed and re-textured through granular synthesis to add harmonic and atmospheric layers to the composition.

The entire system is sequenced by @fraptools USTA, defining both rhythmic and melodic structure. Movement and modulation are driven by the four LFOs of @enjoyelectronics Elfo, applied to pitch, filters and dynamic parameters. Spatial depth and time-based processing are handled by two @strymonengineering modules, used for delay and reverb.

@tlm_modular Monsoon fragments the sound into drifting grains of memory, slowly dissolving and recomposing over time.
A minimal Mother-32 line, sequenced by @fraptools USTA, acts as a narrative thread throughout the performance.
@instruomodularArbhar provides dense, enveloping pads, while Ornament & Crime shapes a fragile, organic rhythm.

The drone comes from the Cs-L , routed into the i-047 filter with slight resonance, processed through the Qubit Nautilus for additional motion and spatial filtering. The drone sequence is generated by Fraptools USTA, programmed with microtonal step variations.
The kick is produced by the O_C .
The overall space of the track is built with Strymon Magneto and Starlab, providing diffusion, delay, and ambience.
