Just a little tribute to @slyandrobbie in my own way.
These songs & riddims hold a lot of memories for me and I mentioned a few of them during my interview with @nanananavid last week.
These songs came out around the time I started DJing in the 90s and were all local hits. Special mention to @djdelanomusic who was the architect behind Bounty’s ‘Mega Nitro Mix’ which still gets a party going till this day.
Definitely not their definitive records but some of the ones that shaped my career.

2026 markerar ett sista kapitel i @operahuset_se innan dörrarna stängs för renovering.
Fram till dess återstår niotillfällen att samlas på ett av Sveriges mest ikoniska dansgolv.

Den jamaikanska trummisen och producenten Sly Dunbar har lämnat jordelivet. Halva Sly & Robbie har tystnat här nere och återförenats där uppe med basisten och producenten Robbie Shakespeare, i basgångshimmelen där rytmen aldrig dör.
Sly & Robbie var pulsen i jamaikansk musik. Trummor och bas som formade reggae och dancehall, vars ekon spreds långt bortom ön. De spelade inte bara rytmen. De omdefinierade den. Med över 200 000 inspelningar bakom sig är deras musikaliska arv lika oändligt som inflytelserikt.
Häromdagen hörde vår tidigare kollega på @p3sverigesradio, @nanananavid, av sig och frågade om vi ville gästa studion för att tala om Sly & Robbie och deras betydelse för reggaemusiken.
Reggae har varit vårt kall i decennier så självklart tackade vi ja. Våran @djautograph gästade studion för ett passionerat samtal om deras arv och hur Sly & Robbie lade grunden till det sound som i dag präglar karibisk och latinamerikansk musik.
