Liminal Spaces: an excerpt.

In solidarity with women in Iran fighting everyday for freedom. May this fight end in peace and equality for all women, Kurdish, queer individuals and anyone oppressed by the Islamic Regime. It’s in our blood to not give up on the fight for freedom.

Liminal Spaces explores the experience of liminal identities, or being “in between”: cultures, race, sexes, sexuality. Women are told to find comfort in covering our bodies, in order to protect ourselves. We are also told to not cover up in such a way that pulls away from our gender expectations. Liminal Spaces is inspired by the experience of exploring both masculine and feminine behaviors and pushing the boundaries we are faced within our societal norms. Full video on my YouTube channel.
