During National Volunteer Week, weβre celebrating the heart of DIFD β our dedicated community.
To every volunteer, every event organizer and participant β thank you. You are helping break down stigma and opening the door for more youth to access mental healthcare and support when they need it most. We couldnβt do this without you. π
Because of you, lives are changing.
Thank you to our incredible community for showing up in such a meaningful way for DIFD and The Royal, and to the Senators Community Foundation for your partnership. With your generosity, more people living with mental illness and addiction can access the care they need β and reclaim who theyβre meant to be.
For the past 8 years, Toronto Metropolitan University has shown what true commitment to youth mental health looks like. π
Through their annual DIFD hockey game, they continue to turn passion for sport into meaningful action β supporting youth suicide prevention and mental health awareness year after year.
On January 31, 2026, they reached a new milestone, raising $3,613 β their highest total yet π
From raffles and chuck-a-puck to jersey giveaways, this team goes above and beyond to bring their community together for an important cause.
